I have been trying to find a user manual online, but have not been successful. I thought maybe I was suppose to do something other that just pressing play.
I believe with a combo like that it should just play when you hit the play button. Unless the dvd player has failed.
Testimonial: "Thank you, Bryan. I really thought the same thing, but this little pink TV/DVD seems so important to the granddaughter, I just have to keep trying. Do you know who the manufacturer is. Disney does not even show this model in their past products."
No problem. Unfortunately I don't. Disney probably doesn't know either because they probably used generic parts for the t.v. just to cash in on the look of the t.v. I would suggest unplugging the power to the t.v. and taking the back cover off to see if you see any model #'s etc on the dvd player housing. Make sure not to touch any electronics and stay away from the anode cap on the CRT as they hold serious voltage that can kill you. (looks like a suction cup)

If you are getting a blue screen when you try to play the dvd, try this. Hit the input button on the tv remote. A list of items will come up. Hit the input button again and again until you reach the item on the list that says AV. Your dvd should then play just fine. One last thing. Once you get the dvd to play the parental code setting may come up. It says something like the parental code has been set. Select yes. It will ask you for a password. The password is 1369. You should have no problems.
Good Luck

Try to get other disk to read if you can not you may have a lens problem and will have to clean it. I would suggest using a fiber optic cleaning kit. You can find them on-line I beleive.

You have to replace the DVD player. The problem is that parts are not available and it's difficult to open the unit. There are about 20 screws to remove, including four screws hidden behind each fender. You have to pry the fenders and rip them off to break two brackets that hold each fender on. The fenders still hold on fine with the remaining seven tabs on each fender. You have to eject the disc to get the mouth off.
I have a working DVD player for sale. It's from a car TV with a defective picture circuit, but the player runs and I hear the movie soundtrack, so I'm 99% sure it's good. I broke the mouth off the player, but it could be glued back.
If you have a good motherboard for sale with a bad DVD player, I might buy the motherboard from you.

The 13" tv/dvd was purchased used for the granddaughter. It is by Disney, model # P1310 ATVD, is pink with princesses on it. When first turned on, the televised picture was good, but when a dvd was placed in it, there was no picture. I know that when using a dvd player that is hooked up to a tv, you need to select an input or press a TV/VCR button. But do you need to do that when the dvd and tv are one unit?
