Monday pm, car suddenly lurched while I was driving straight on a country road, then drove with sputtering motions as I drove straight to my mechanic. My mechanic plugged in sensor & it shows 4 responses. He turned engine light off & told me to drive the car & came back if engine light came back on. That was this past Friday. I drove it all weekend & last Monday, engine light came back on by lurching suddenly while I am driving straight on the highway going 65 mph, then driving w/sputtering motions. This time, the car was on Cruise Control. I stopped car ignition, waited 2 minutes, the started it up again. Car drove the rest of Monday fine, only slightly shaky. Tues am, when I started car, engine light was turned off, & I drove it all day on Tuesday just fine. Wednesday night, while driving w/o Cruise Control on, engine light came back on after it lurched. I repeated my previous actions of stopping car, etc. Car started up fine & runs fine, howbeit it is vibrating more at highway speeds. Engine light is still on & solid, not flashing.
Code p0320 refers to cam shaft position (CKP) sensor/engine speed (RPM) sensor--circuit malfunction=== causes --wiring--CKP/RPM sensor ---ECM
because the engine runs ok until it is on cruise control I would be investigating the RPM sensor for a fault
The cruise control takes its control from the RPM sensor and if that circuit is interminable the the cruise control doesn't know what rpms to maintain.

One question, have you replaced the ECTS (Electronic Cooling Temperature Sensor)? These cause no end of different seemingly unrelated problems on Saturns. Peice is about ten bucks and is an easy install. Just search on youtube for a how-to video. Even if that's not the problem it is reccommended to replace this peice just the same as they ALL end up going bad at some point.
If that's not a fix, start pulling plugs. Check to see if they're correctly gapped and if they have any damage/corrosion. If you're running Platinum plugs, immediatly change to a copper plug as Platinums have no place in these motors. Most people have the best luck with NGK copper.
Check to make sure that your plug wires haven't been crossed. This sounds like a plug or wire issue most likely so it has to be in that family, if the plugs are good, wires good and not crossed, sensors are fine, then time to replace your coil packs. If you've replaced everything up to the coil packs then that is most likely the cause of your dillema.

If you have been to three shops,I'll assume that all the basics have been covered. Did anyone check computer stored codes? What did they see? If you are going to try to fix it yourself, you will need to get a manual and check each and every component, one by one. Also, outside of the realm of computer stuff, check converter to make sure its not partially plugged. At low rpm city driving it may be flowing just enough to get by on. Also check that fuel is clean and has no water in it.

sound to me like it maybe a faulty sensor in the transmission. take your car to someone with an ODB reader and see if a transmission fault is indicated. you may have to take your car to a transmission shop.

this sounds like an intermittent wiring problem. the wires to one of the spark plugs, coils, or fuel injectors may be faulty or damaged. Mice love to chew on wires and you did mention that they found some small animal debris or maybe nesting materials. This will have to be tediously checked out with a multimeter. the good news is, once the damaged wire is found, it can be inexpensively repaired.
Testimonial: "Thank you for your response. It was helpful. I will follow your suggestions with a different service station."

It sounds like to me you have a faulty Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor. You can get these at www.rockauto.com cheaper then anywhere else.
