Televison station won't scan

If you are receiving a "No Signal" error message, verify that:
  1. All of the cables physically connected to the TV and the input device are secure.
  2. The input device is turned on.
Your TV needs to scan for channels before it can show programming from an antenna, from cable TV when the cable comes directly from the wall (no cable box), or from a cable or satellite box connected to the TV with a coaxial (RF) cable. Do not scan for channels if you have a cable or satellite box connected using AV (Composite), Component, or HDMI cables. The box selects the channel, not the tuner inside your television. If you are not using the "TV" input, press the INPUT button on your remote until the correct input mode is selected.
To perform a channel scan using the coaxial input:
  1. Press the INPUT button on your remote to view your current input source. The TV (coaxial cable) input must be selected. This may appear as "TV," "ANT," or the channel and call letters of a station.
  2. If the TV input is not selected, press INPUT until the TV input mode is selected.
  3. Open the on-screen menu and select TV or Tuner option. (This varies by model.)
  4. Highlight Tuner Mode and select the correct option:
    • Antenna-over-the air signals from an antenna
    • Cable-direct from the wall cable TV, or a cable or satellite box connected to the TV with coaxial cable
  5. Select Auto Search or Auto Channel Scan. (This varies by model.)
  6. When the search reaches 100% complete, exit to the menu.
  7. Check the available channels:
    • Antenna or direct-from-wall cable-Press the Channel Up and Channel Down buttons on your VIZIO TV remote to view the available channels.
    • Cable or satellite box- Will return only one channel. Use the cable or satellite remote's Channel Up and Channel Down buttons.
If this does not resolve the issue, power cycle the TV and then re-run the channel scan:
  1. Turn off the TV.
  2. Unplug the TV from the electrical outlet.
  3. While the TV is unplugged from the wall, press and hold the Power button on the TV for 30 seconds.
  4. Release the power button.
  5. Plug the TV back into the electrical outlet.
  6. Turn on the TV.
Note: There is also an option to reset the TV to the factory default settings. This option is in either the SETUP or SYSTEM section of the on-screen menu. The option may be "Reset all settings", "System Reset," or "Reset & Admin." Consult your TV's user manual for the location and steps for resetting your model.
  1. Remove the coaxial cable from the DTV/TV connector on the back of your television and perform a channel scan to clear the existing channels. See the procedure above. This should not find any channels.
  2. Re-attach the coaxial cable to the DTV/TV connector and perform a new channel scan.
This video shows troubleshooting steps to use when a "No signal" message appears.

Onkyo mute channels. When turned on, one or more channels remain mute. Acts like a contact problem; when switched on-off-on multiple times, mute channels may vary

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

The speakers are not connected properly. Check the speaker connections. The Mute function is activated. Turn off the Mute function. The volume is turned all the way down. Turn up the volume. Neither set of speakers is selected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press either A or B to select a set of speakers. Both sets of speakers are selected, but only one set is connected (if unit has A/B buttons to select sets of speakers). Press the appropriate button to deselect the speaker outputs which are not connected. The receiver is set to TAPE MONITOR (if applicable). Turn off TAPE MONITOR mode. Headphones are plugged into the main unit. Unplug the headphones. The source selector is set to the wrong source. Select the proper source. The impedance of the speakers is less than the rating for the system. Use speakers with the correct impedance rating.

Can set up th remote control for this tv with the direct tv cable remote

Here's how to scan for TV codes on your DIRECTV remote

1.Make sure your TV is turned on.

2.Slide the mode switch at top of remote to "TV".

3.Press and hold the MUTE button. This is located above the number 1 button.

4.While still holding down MUTE, press and hold the SELECT button until green light at the top of the remote flashes twice.

5.Then enter 991, the green light on remote should flash twice.

5b. Press 1 again (it will flash twice again), then you press the power on button at the very top right.

6.Point remote at TV and press CHANNEL UP button. Tap the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly until the TV powers off.

*If you hit channel up very fast, you risk going past the code. Pressing channel down will back it up. I alway hit channel up very fast till the tv turns off, then back it up slowly till it comes back on.

7.When the TV powers off, press and release the SELECT button.

*Note: If the green light flashes three times before TV responds, then all codes have been cycled through. Our remote controls are guaranteed to program to your DIRECTV receiver, however your TV may not be compatible with our remote control.

How do I retune DMTech TV Freeview with DVD video please?

Please fallow bellows instruction to retune your TV.
Could you please follow that EEPROM RESET INSTRUCTION OR FIRST TME INSTALLATION.
Also please don’t forget that MENU BUTTON from your remote, it’s not the one in the middle of remote.
There are the other MENU BUTTON in left down bottom side.
Cannot access Digital TV and am asked for a Lock code Key?
If you cannot access the Digital TV option then conduct an EEPROM RESET as mentioned above. If you are prompted to enter a lock code key enter three / four zeros.
Alternatively when prompted to enter the lock code key conduct a FIRST TIME INSTALLATION also mentioned above.
There are two options available. The first option is to conduct a general reset that will reset all user preferences. The second option would be to conduct an EEPROM RESET. An EEPROM RESET would reset all the internal hardware.

Instructions - Please refer to your DMTECH remote control and user manual provided
1. Turn the Television ON ? Button on front of Television / Power button on remote control.
2. Make sure that you are on Analogue television by pressing the TV/DVB-T button until you see PR and the channel number selected in the top right corner of the screen, e.g. PR 1.
3. You must then Press the button labelled Display until a window titled INFORMATION is displayed on the screen.
4. Only when the window titled Information is present can you continue by pressing the digit (1) twice and then pressing the button titled LINE. If you make a mistake then press Display again to remove the window titled INFORMATION and repeat the process. (Display - 1 1 - Line)
5. Once you have successfully completed step four you will notice that a menu appears on the left of the screen. You can then select which option you want, either RESET or an EEPROM RESET using the arrow keys. To execute an instruction please use the RIGHT ARROW KEY and not the ENTER button.
Make sure you have properly conducted a FIRST TIME INSTALLATION and an AUTOMATIC SEARCH. If having done this you can try conducting a manual search in an attempt to force / lock the channel.
This will erase the DVBT tuner memory and reset the interface card. This may resolve poor channel reception, the inability to store channels or even receive certain channels.

Instructions - Please refer to your DMTECH remote control and user manual provided
1. Turn the Television ON and select digital television by pressing the button labelled TV / DVB-T located under the power button on the remote control.
2. On the remote control locate and press the button labelled Menu, found at the extreme bottom left of the remote control.
3. A Menu should now appear displaying options. Scroll down and select the option labelled SETTINGS using the ARROW KEYS and the enter key located in the middle of the remote control. On the next menu you must select INSTALLATION to move on to the next menu.
4. On this last menu scroll down to the last option labelled FIRST TIME INSTALLATION and select it pressing the enter key. You will then be prompted to delete all channels, using the left arrow key to select yes and press enter to execute. The television will reset and prompt you to commence an AUTO SEARCH. Follow these instructions to tune in channels.picture
Digital Television requires much more from existing aerial systems. Having more than one digital TV may reduce signal quality and strength depending on how the aerial system is set up. It is therefore recommended that if you decide to use more than one digital television you use a booster and or at least make sure you are using a digital ready aerial. Using an existing Aerial that is split may reduce signal strength depending on how many times it is split. Please see the diagram below. The best solution when using an existing aerial is to purchase a booster device. Aerial Splitting - Why a booster is recommended. A booster is used to apply a small current that boosts the existing signal. A booster can be purchased from all main TV/HI-FI - consumer electronic product retailers.
