Hi, I believe you have to clean your mouse. that's no joke. You have to unscrew it and and clean out al the parts with a toothbrush and tooth-pic.. If that does'nt work. replace mouse with optic mouse.
Good luck.
Thanks for asking FixYa for help. My name is Jeff and I will be assisting you today. There are a couple of things you can try. First, you want to power everything down and unplug the power cord. Next, unplug the keyboard and replug it ensuring that the keyboard is properly and securely plugged in. Power up and try it. If that doesn't work, you want to repeat the process with a substitute keyboard. If the second keyboard works, you know that you need to buy a new keyboard. If you require further assistance please let us know.
The generic keyboard driver which loads at startup does not operate the keyboard you're having problems with. You need to locate the driver for that keyboard and install it, and it will cease to interefere with thecd/dvd optical drive.

Marcus

Go to start and run then type services.msc or if using windows 7 just go to start and type services.msc in the search box. Once open find the service "Human Interface Device Access". Change it from manual to automatic and make sure that it is started.
Try an install a USB external keyboard or PS2 whichever. If the external keyboard works then reinstall the drivers for the keyboard they should be universal. If that does not work then it looks like your keyboard has failed.
You need to synchronize the connection again. there should be a reconnect button on the bottom side of the mouse and keyboard. mostly green in color. press that and within 30 sec. press the reconnect button on the receiver. that should fix the problem.
