HOW TO RE PROGRAM MY APEX DT250 TO FINALLY WORK

I just had the same problem and replaced the popped capacitor and it works. I had to use a 470uf 35 because radio shack didnt have any 25's. It only cost $1.59 so i bought 3 just in case it happens again

If you're electronics savy, as in replacing capacitors, open it up.. that's your problem.. one or two of the caps on the power board has gone bad.. most likely a 470uf 25v, which can be replaced with a 470uf 35v found at Radio shack for about $1.29. You can tell if it's bad if the top is cracked open & leaking or just domed out instead of being flat.

The DT250 has one or more bad 470uf 25v capacitors. You should replace all four. Look at some of these youtube videos for how do do the replacement.

Order 4 new 470uf 25v capacitors from digikey.com P/N P10274-ND
