Question about Miller Bobcat 225NT 8000 Watt Generator Welder
Worked fine then next time I went to use it nothing fuse was blown. I checked wiring for bare spot.
Probably a shorted rectifier or capacitor. The rectifier is about an inch and a half square with 4 connections. It contains 4 diodes, and they need to be checked with wires removed. Could be the rotor, but unlikely on this machine.

Stop using the fuse as a tester. Find the short circuit with an ohmmeter.
