Depending on how hot you may be right. It is normal for the battery to heat up when you charge it. I have an RCA tablet that while the charge port (which doubles as the micro USB) fits tight and the battery still heats up to the point where it is hot to the touch but not to hot to hold. If your charging port is broken then the tablet will nont charge at all. If it is loose and not getting good connection then the battery will charge intermittently. Again either of these issues will not cause the battery to get abnormally hot. However, if there is an issue with the battery itself then it may get too hot. If so the charging circuit thermistor should cause the battery to stop charging.
You could have a bad battery or the charge port is bad or disconnected, Look where the charger makes contact and make sure it is not bent and touching the side of the case. If it still won't charge, I bet the inside charge port is broken and you would have to get a new tablet.
i do have the same problem like my touch stopped working. and nothing really happened to the tablet and i am sure that it needs a new software so could any one tell me hot to flash a new firmware in asus me137x without root
Quite confusing your question.
So the charger light is off and last time it was very hot. If thisis your case, the charger is burnt. Just buy another one, it's cheap.
It may be the charger has a loose wire. In that case a new charger would fix the problem. Mine has a problem with the charging port itself. I am fortunatly that my tablet is under warrenty they are going to replace the tablet for me.
