What would make the gas boil in the tank of my ford tractor?series 501 thru 4000 ford tractor

the torque sequence for head bolts on a 1969 Ford 3000 tractor is as follows: front ' 7 3 1 5 ' ' 8 4 2 6 '. The torque values for the cylinder head bolts are step 1: 55 ft-lb, step 2: 65 ft-lb, step 3: 85 ft-lb

The lever assembly has an internal hydraulic leak. It needs stripping down and seals and O-rings replacing. Service manuals that may help. I have not read them.

Best advice is for you to list this in Lawn and Garden or Construction equipment section for Tractors. There is a valve knob on a 4000 series that proportions hydraulic flow from more in back than front depending on the setting. If you have a front loader or if you have rear attachments you can get more action on the end you want. On a 4000 the knob is by the right heel of the driver. Could work like this for 7810.

Ford 2000 3000 4000 5000 Serial Numbers

The 1970 ford 4000 had 3 engine options; gas, diesel, and lp. If there is no canister that looks like a propane tank then it is gas or diesel. A gas engine will have spark plugs and wires and the diesel will not. The only fluid that is going to be different is what kind of fuel it runs on. Any dealership that sells tractors should be able to show you how to service yours. Manuals are available on line. And next time specify what fluid you are talking about; transmission, hydraulic, coolant, break, power steering, etc. We can't read minds.

Check the fuel tank cap. It needs to let air into the tank and has a small hole to enable this. Try running the engine with the cap loosely in place to verify this is the cause. If you can't clean it get a new one.

If the gas won't even drain from the tank, try removing the gas cap. It has vent holes and if this is plugged, the vacuum won't let the gas drain. If that is the case, clear the holes.

It may be something with the carb like a float, valve, or jet problem, but don't rule out vapor lock. Make sure that the fuel lines are protected from the heat of the engine. Sometimes rerouting/shielding fuel lines can make a difference. Just a thought. Best wishes.
