Touch screen on Samsun d980 doesn't work

your touch screen flex is damaged.have it checked and replaced by a qualified technician or a samsung service center near you.

Keep all the keys pressed while turning on and then switch off again and turn on but this time when the phone is about to start remove the battery

i was having the same problem for three days contentiously . but thanks god i solved it .try to take off the back cover and , SIM cards and memory card .Now use the hair dryer for 7 ,10 minutes and the problem will solve ,if not so may be you will need to take off the four screws to fix the cables from inside . wish that i helped you

Usually what it is is the digitizer is bad on the screen when its not allowing you to touch it. You will have to send that in to get repaired of locate a cellphone shop that repairs digitizers.

Hi,the reason why the touch screen is not functioning ,is because the touch screen is dead does not work properly again.
You will need t replace the touch screen for it to function properly again.

There are various reason the touch screen of you phone might be hard.
1)The calibration of your might be changed.You have to set it correctly.
2)The touch screen sensor might be damaged or loosen,you have re-hot the connection.

1)To calibrate the settings:
In the idle mode Tap the phone and go to menu and go to settings and go to phone settings and then go to Calibration.

Menu → Settings → Phone
settings → Calibration.

Follow the screen and tap the screen with stylus, and follow the screen and save the calibration setting.

2)Since you say you are able to work with touch screen,your phone touch screen is not totally damaged...You have to just rehot the screen.If you don't have hands on in it please take it to the nearest service centre.I will cost very less.Its like soldering process.

the touch screen of the phone you are using is weak and it is not responding properly again.

in other to resolve the problem,you will need to replace the touch screen with a new one.

My name is Jon i work on repairing phones all day everyday and see this problem every so often with full touch screen models. When the touch stops working it could be one of two problems generally. Either the "Digitizer" of the phone is damaged wich is the part of the screen you touch that is infront of your actual screen, this is generally not too hard of a fix to do. Or the problem is that the calibration could be off? If the touch works but just isnt accurate try to get into the options or settings menu and do the calibration setting. This will make the phone register on the screen where it is suppose to.
