SOURCE: screen is frozen showing only the LG symbol, occasionally flashes

with a frozen phone issue, you may need to reset the software to get it running again. But you might loose your data if you flash the phone. I hope you don't have a problem with the screen. sometimes too, when the memory space is filled up, it freezes up. Take out the battery for some hours and try again. if it does not resume, then you may have to flash the phone to reset it to factory setting. Hope this solves your problem. Cheers!

SOURCE: Flashing red symbol on screen - not 'no cassette loaded' symbol.

I had the same problem with my ZR800. After lots of searching on the net I found out what the symbol indicates. It means that the little battery that holds the memory for the clock is weak. It's under a little cover behind the main battery compartment. I put in a new one that the flashing icon is gone. I put the battery I took out into another ZR800 and the icon started flashing on it. A simple solution that Canon should have posted in the manual.

SOURCE: orange engine symbol on dash stays lit.

Your car is most likely obd2 compliant (in the US everycar built after 1996 is) this means your check engine light could be on for a whole list of reasons, You will need an obd2 scanner to plug into the diagnostics connector to read the codes. Many times car parts places will let you use theres, hoping to sell you parts when you know what needs to be fixed. If the use of free one is not available you can probably buy one off of ebay for not too much. Use the code scanner, write down the codes and google them and/or buy a haynes manual that will explain how to do all these things.

Quest idles rough and when accelerating and service engine light is flashing

Nobody can answer correctly until you (or let someone) read OBD code.

"Check Engine Light flashing" means there is (or are) potential error on system.
(Flashing = Potential. maybe temporally, stays on = permanent. need to fix)
there are 100s of error codes.

When you go Autozone or some autoparts store maybe AAA, they can connect "OBD code reader" and read error code for you for free.
You can buy cheap code reader under $30 for now and future use.

Code may show like P0301, it means misfire on #1 cylinder for example.
sometimes just gas cap not tight closed show error code.
Reading OBD error code is starting point .

Is it usual when a car is flashing on your dash board

Could be a service check reminder, fault indicator or if it shows the boot up on the light symbol, your boot is not closed properly. Look in your manual or drop into toyota sevice and just ask.

Emission warnig light on

Check Engine Light
The fault codes are cleared after the problem has been rectified and the engine has been started 5-10 times.
Service Interval Reminder Lights
The on-board computer is used to evaluate mileage, average engine speed and engine and coolant temperatures as well as other computer input factors that determine maintenance intervals. There are 5 green, a yellow and a red LED used to remind the driver of oil changes and other maintenance services.
The green LED'S will be illuminated when the ignition is in the ON position and the engine OFF. There will not be as many green LED'S illuminated when the maintenance time gets closer. A yellow LED that is illuminated when the engine is running, will indicate maintenance is now due. The red LED will be illuminated when the service interval has been exceeded by approximately 1000 miles. This is the computers way of saying this is your last warning.
There is a service interval reset tool manufactured by the Assenmacher Tool Company (tool 62-1-100). This tool is used to reset BMW 6-cylinder and 4-cylinder vehicles with the aid of an additional adapter tool.
  1. Locate the diagnostic connector near the thermostat housing.
  2. Plug the special reset tool into the diagnostic connector and place the ignition switch in the ON position.
  3. Depress the reset button on the tool until all 5 green LED'S are illuminated, showing that the reset has completed.

I changed the oil in my Craftsman Lawn Tractor 24HP Model No 917-288320 and the "change oil" message on the LED screen won't go away. Is there a reset button somewhere?

Below is excerpt from the owners manual:

SERVICE REMINDER/HOUR METER
Service reminder shows the total number
of hours the engine has run and flashes to
indicate that the engine or mower needs
servicing. When service is required, the
service reminder will flash for two hours.
To service engine and mower, see the
Maintenance section of this manual.
NOTE: Service reminder runs when the ignition
key is in any position but "STOP". For
accurate reading, be sure key remains in the
"STOP" position when engine is not running.

It should reset the 2 hours has expired

A flashing orange symbol shows up on dash panel and I don't know what it is-\r\n--can u show me some examples so that I may know what it means? 2000Dodge Intrepid

I don't have any pictures but if it's flashing it's probably the check engine light (some vehicles show this as a symbol instead of the words). If it is and it's flashing, that indicates the engine is missfiring and could potentially damage the catalytic converters. A diagram of all the warning lights is shown in the owners manual with a nice description

How do i reset the change oil light on a 1040 cub cadet 1000 series

The Service Monitor meter contains a service minder function that utilizes the 4-digit LCD display. The letters "CHG" will display followed by the letters "OIL" and then followed by the meter accumulated time. "CHG"/"OIL"/TIME will alternate on the display for five(5) minutes after the meter reaches 50 hours. The display will also flash as described above for five(5) minutes every time the tractor has been started during the maintenance time interval. The interval will occur every 50 hours and will be in effect for two(2) hours ( Example: this feature will display from 50-52 hrs., 100-102 hrs., 150-152 hrs etc...). While the LCD is displaying the "CHG"/"OIL"/TIME letters, the red LED "oil symbol" will also be flashing for the entire five(5) minutes. The meter display will return to normal function automatically after the reminder maintenance time interval of two(2) hours. There is no method of manually re-setting this Service Monitor gauge.

Sounds like your oil low switch is either bad or maybe wire was knocked off when changed oil.
