The clicking noise that you're hearing from your QFX PBX-8080 speaker could indicate a number of issues. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the audio source: Make sure that the audio source you are playing from is not the issue. Try playing different audio files or connecting a different device to the speaker to rule out this possibility.
Check the speaker connections: Ensure that all the cables and connections between the speaker and the audio source are firmly connected and free from damage. Check for loose connections, frayed wires, or damage to the cable or port.
Reset the speaker: Some speakers have a reset button or function. Check the manual of your QFX PBX-8080 speaker to see if there is a reset function and how to perform it.
Update the firmware: If your speaker has firmware that can be updated, make sure it is up to date.
If none of these solutions work, then it is possible that there is a hardware issue with the speaker. In this case, you may need to take it to a repair center or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
If you are having problems with your power connector i would suggest for you to replace it with a new one from any electronic store.
i would highly suggest for you NOT to open up the speaker and fix it your self. bring the speakers to an electronic store and consult with them with your issue and they can probably get it fixed or replaced for you.
try a shorter usb cable long ones typically dont flow enough power unplug all other usb cables and make sure your computer is up to date with all Microsoft fixes [if your using windows] it should either auto-play and pop up or be viewable from [my computer] i hope this works please vote
when you disconnect it from cables, it resets. But i believe that is not the problem. Check speaker cables. I think you have problem with internal power amps. They have thermal and current protection. look for short circuits on speakers or speaker cables.
Many have reported the same issue, reset the pure-fi with the reset switch (on bottom) while it is turned on, then put your iphone/ipod at 75+ % of volume before/while playing.
On some wiring systems you have to make sure the wires are not touching neg. and pos.just try some speakers without actually installing them. make sure mute button is not on.
