After I ugrade my Sony to windows 7 the motion eye camera was uninstalled. Ho do I installed it back

If anyone is having trouble getting this driver to install on their Windows 7 Vaio, the problem is not the driver itself, but the installer, which does not work with Windows 7. I had the same problem as everyone else, but I downloaded/installed the Universal Extractor (http://legroom.net/software/uniextract) and the driver installer (http://s02.download.sony.com/US/pc/RIDCAM-14566600-US.EXE). I ran the Extractor on the Driver's Installer, which extracted all of the files. I then executed the x64 installer file (RIDCAM-14566600-US\TEMPEXEFOLDER\DPInst64.exe). This properly updated the driver and my webcam has been functioning normally since. Hope this helps others

just enter your Win7 operating system (there are 9 versions of Win7), and select the downloads (2)
for your computer camera driver.

Sony has this driver for download for the motion eye cam.

Just check if your camera model number shows up after clicking the link "See all applicable models and operating systems.".

You may need to install the driver in compatibility mode as detailed here.

the camera software that sony vaio vgn-ns190j/s uses is arcsoft webcam companion software..

1.uninstall the arcsoft webcam companion camera software from programs and feature
2.uninstall the camera driver from device manager
3.download and install the camera software from

Did u install any other programs anfter your vista instalation? try to uninstall them one by one, My guess is that one of the programs "kidnaped" you camera. By uninstaling one by one you can easy find out witch one it is. After uninstalling one program test your camera. If it works again you that program is the problem.

I have windows vista sony vaio vgn fe880e buying at america, but I dont have drivers of motion eye web camera

Windows Vista is not the greatest at working on proprietary machines with drivers intended for XP. Can you get a driver from SONY for the motion eye that supports VISTA? I had Vista on my new machine (Dell) for all of 3 minutes before I uninstalled it and put a brand new copy of XP on. It's stable -- and works. Vista is squirrelly.

I reformatted my pc notebook now all i need is to activacte again my build-in camera (MOTION EYE) and the sound card. Where i can get that software so i can use all i want. I am using windows 7. Thank you
