My 2006 Chevy Aveo is making a high pitch whirring noise (kinda like a soft weed whacker noise) from the engine area it gets stronger when i press on the gas, and while it idles it stays constant. my check...

Let's stop using it & educate yourself

All vehicles have had check lights for 30
years now,so there is no excuse for not knowing
or driving more than a few days with ANY dash
light on.

You have a System Malfunction

Your not worred about anything
& are close to abusing your car.

You can think all you want but you
need to take action. Your car is very
expensive item that hardly anyone can pay
cash for & you depend on it,so get it
diagnosed & repaired

I was going to suggest the noise may be the
differential in the transaxle.

Part with it for a couplke of days & get all check light
issue solved first.

I have a 2003 f-250 and the parking lights will not go out without me disconnecting the battery. I have changed the turn signal arm and light switch itself

Hello, Try going to the Autoparts place and get a lighting relay for your powerbox. Although the turn signal lever controls the turn lights, there are relays in the big black powerboxes that are triggered by the main lightswitch. If you have used the truck for towing, there are additional relays for them as well.

You might also want to look rearward at the tow plug for corrosion. I believe there is a hot wire for camper recharging that is always hot through this plug. It may have corroded enough to energize the park lights.

Just replaced a dead battery with a brand new one. Tried starting it and it makes a high pitch whining sound and wont start. Any suggestions of what the problem is? Does it need to sit to charge the...

The basics, your battery is used to provide power to the starter. Once the engine is running the alternator then provides current to recharge the battery and run all of your electrical components. so I would suspect the starter is not working to start the engine.

Does the pcm suppose to have a high squeell pitch to it? and can the nuetral safety sensor cause no firing to the motor? v6

No,the pcm is not making the noise, unless it's a bad or shorted relay. If you don't have 12 volts at the battery,it may not start. You need a full 12 to run the computer. The switch hardly ever goes bad but yes that will cause a no-start. Write more info next time please.
