How to remove cover rear bumper on a Nissan Quest 2008

To remove the rear bumper cover on a 2008 Nissan Quest, you can follow these general steps:
  1. Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure that the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is turned off. Put on safety goggles and gloves to protect yourself during the removal process.
  2. Locate the Fasteners: Look for the fasteners securing the rear bumper cover. They are typically located underneath the bumper cover, near the wheel wells, and along the bottom edge of the bumper.
  3. Remove the Fasteners: Depending on the specific model and trim level, the fasteners may be screws, bolts, or plastic clips. Use the appropriate tools, such as a screwdriver or socket wrench, to remove the fasteners one by one. Turn them counterclockwise to loosen and remove them. Keep the fasteners in a safe place for reinstallation later.
  4. Disconnect Electrical Connections (if applicable): If your Nissan Quest has any electrical connections, such as sensors or lighting, attached to the rear bumper cover, disconnect them carefully. Look for connectors near the edges or inside the trunk area. Gently detach the connectors by pressing the release tabs or using a flat-head screwdriver to release any locking mechanisms.
  5. Release the Clips: Once the fasteners are removed, there may be plastic clips or tabs securing the bumper cover to the vehicle's body. Carefully pry or release these clips using a trim removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver. Take care not to damage the bumper cover or the vehicle's body.
  6. Remove the Bumper Cover: With all the fasteners and clips released, gently pull or wiggle the rear bumper cover away from the vehicle's body. Start from one side and work your way to the other, ensuring that all connections and clips have been detached. Be cautious of any remaining electrical connections as you remove the bumper cover completely.
Please note that the exact steps and fastener locations may vary slightly depending on the specific trim level and optional features of your 2008 Nissan Quest. It's always recommended to consult the vehicle's owner's manual or a professional technician for more precise instructions tailored to your vehicle.
Take your time during the removal process to avoid any damage to the bumper cover or the vehicle's body. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing the removal yourself, it's best to seek assistance from a qualified technician or a reputable automotive service center.

Remove dash panel 2008 g6 pontiac

Preparation
  • Have the car's air conditioning system discharged at the dealer's service department or at another shop with a licensed air conditioning technician.
  • Drain the engine coolant at the radiator, opening the drain fitting at the bottom of the radiator and the cap on the reservoir and letting the coolant pour into a large container.
  • Disconnect the battery's negative cable, loosening the cable clamp nut with a socket or crescent wrench.
Trim Covers
  • Place the transmission in Neutral (you need to press the brake pedal with the ignition switch on), then pull the center trim panel rearward on the bottom. Pry the panel's clips off as you move upward and and remove the panel.
  • Pop the triangular-shaped hazard flasher switch out of the instrument panel -- you can reach the back of the switch and push it out once you remove the center panel -- and unplug the switch's electrical connector.
  • Tilt the upper steering column cover up and release the four lock rings to remove the upper cover. Remove the three fasteners for the lower cover -- you need a screwdriver with a hex socket -- tilt the column lever down and remove the lower cover.
  • Remove the three screws for the instrument cluster bezel with a Philips screwdriver and pry the bezel loose.
  • Pry off the trim panels at the sides of the instrument panel with a trim stick or similar dull, flat-bladed tool. Unscrew and remove the cover at the bottom of the panel with the screwdriver.
  • Open the small cover on the A-pillar trim panels, remove the ***** within the cover using your Philips screwdriver and pry off the panels with the trim stick. Pry around the upper trim panel and remove it.
  • Remove the fasteners for the knee bolster below the steering wheel with the screwdriver -- you may also need to remove the data link connector by pressing its side tabs and disconnecting it -- and remove the panel.
  • Open the glove box and remove the mounting screws at the top corners of the compartment using the Philips screwdriver to remove it.
  • Main Panel
    • Disconnect the heater hoses and the refrigerant lines from the firewall using pliers and/or a wrench (a socket wrench may work best). Plug the fittings to block contaminants from entering.
    • Unbolt the heater module at the dashboard plate's front end using the socket wrench.
    • Disconnect all of the electrical connectors on the instrument panel. Pry off all the
    • switches from the panel using your trim stick.
    • Slide both of the front seats all the way to the rear.
    • Remove the two mounting fasteners for the steering column -- these will likely require the hex-socket screwdriver -- and let the column rest near the floor.
    • Unbolt the panel's center support bracket from the floor with your wrench.
    • Remove the mounting fasteners at both ends of the instrument panel with the wrench/Philips screwdriver and pull the panel away. Disconnect any remaining electrical connectors that were previously concealed and remove the panel.

This light is on..transport Mode...what does it mean I can't find it in the manual...

"transport mode" means that your vehicle is running on a preset ignition program
similar to "limp mode" to get you into a repair facility instead of: stalling and, needing to be towed. the vehicle will not run at peak performance until repaired.

My radiator fan came off my 03 Tundra. Is this a symptom of a larger problem or did the screws holding the fan together just come loose? Thanks, Colby

I'm sure the fasteners just came loose, I would watch them though. If a blade is bent , or off balance that that could vibrate to bolts loose. Hope that helps

I have a 1999 suburban - door panel won't come off.

its not a cable, its a long rod either the handle broke inside the arm rest or the latch is bad. find all screws your can and then you have to pry out the little plastic christmas tree door panel retainers, with a big flat head screwdriver start at the bottom left of panel and pry- hard. youll feel em pop about 18 around exterior of panel and maybe 2-3 in the middle. once you got the panel flopping lift up to release ffrom weather stripping and unplug your wires and door linkage gently and thats it. be prepared to by most of the new fasteners at parts store, if they are the 2-peice ones then they are dealer only. they always break dont feel bad they are made to go in once. reverse to install, snap new fasteners into panel line up push in, once all are started use the palm of your hand to bang the panel firmly to tightly set all fasteners. theres only like 3 screws to pull out think one is below the interior grab handle, and you gota pry off the little triange peice on the back side of the mirror, a screw there too, and maybe one behind the speaker grill. sorry- im whooped good luck
