New belt is impossible to get on its too short
Take a kettle and get some steam going and put the belt in the steam till she is elastic and insert the belt.
Wait for 5 mins, and you are good to go!
Is this the belt for the "Power Nozzle"? If so, once you have the bottom plate removed to get at the roller brush. You will be able to carefully pull/pry the roller out. It is one piece with bearing/bushings one each end. They are friction fit (held in by friction - no screws, glue or other fasteners). Remove the roller straight out, slip the belt over the roller and carefully put the roller back in. If it still won't fit, you might want to ensure you have the proper replacement belt.
