I recently purchased a Pioneer AVH-3500BHS and had it professionally installed. I have a few issues with it. One, when I plug in my AUX cord to phone and go to the AUX app, it does not play my music. Instead, it acts as if I am trying to watch a movie. Two, I have an HTC One X phone, and when I pair the bluetooth, it will play my music for a second, and then it makes this wierd beeping sound, and it does not stop. The last issue, is the HD Radio is far from HD. Every station is static. Now I am wondering if there was a problem with the installation. I have the correct antenna adapter, so I don't see why it would be static. Please please please help!!!

Before you go any further call the company and have them come show you how to work this. It should come with full training of how to use it. I there are problems other than "user error" then they will identify them while they are there and fix them without charge.

I'm so confused. Where do I plug my AUX cable to my AVH-285 Pioneer Stereo pretty please

You can't directly plug in the Aux cable. The mini-plug for the AVH-285 is on the back of the receiver but it handles both audio and video from a composite source. (Note: this position means that it isn't easily reached when from the passenger compartment.)

You do need the CD-RM10 composite A/V to mini-plug adapter. The mini-plug port is between the video output and the rear/subwoofer outputs on the receiver. See page 35 of the manual for the picture. If your Aux input device has a 3.5 mm audio out (headphone jack), you'll also need a 3.5 mm (F) to RCA (M/M) adapter.

Pioneer has the manual for the AVH-285BT on the product page: https://pioneer-mea.com/en/products/avh-285bt/ . Two current link to the manual is http://pioneer-mea.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/AVH-185DVD285BT.compressed.pdf and https://www.pioneer.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/AVH285BT-Instruction-Manual.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Why does my Pioneer AVH 110 BT read incompatible USB when my phone is hooked up to it

If connected with USB the pioneer my not support your device. I have this happen in my dodge ram everytime I plug phone to charge it. In order for mine to play music I have to register and pay monthly subscription fees. I opt for the aux option or just use Bluetooth.

No sound from ipod, usb or aux?

I removed my Pioneeer AVH-P4000DVD from my Tacoma pickup to upgrade to an AVH-X2500BT and installed the AVH-P4000DVD in my mustang cobra and found myself suffering from a strange issue (that seems to have happened to a lot of you too). All of a sudden I had lost my audio on my USB and AUX inputs. I tore the net apart for a solution, pouted, drank, and started doing more and more research, and check instruction manuals. I eventually found the solution based of one lone comment someone had mentioned regarding ground and comparing the wiring diagrams for the two decks. I pulled the pioneer harness out of truck and compared it to the pioneer harness in my car and found an inconsistency. This may solve the issue that plagues you as well. Check the harness you are using. I was not able to find a pinout, but the 4 wires on one end of the harness for the AVH-P4000DVD should be +12V battery, +12V ignition, ground, and ground, (yellow, red, black, and black). If you have received the harness for a newer model of pioneer AVH it will still fit fine but one wire is out of place. The second ground wire you need has been replaced by a purple reverse gear sensor for the backup camera. Ground out the purple wire and it should solve your issue... It did for me. Good luck.

I have a pioneer AVH-P4100DVD receiver and I have an i-pod touch. I connected it to the head unit w/ the CD-IU200V cord and I can here music but I can't watch my movies off of it.

Shut the radio off. Touch top right of screen. Once done, hit AV Menue. Initial Setup. AUX1. Switch to Ipod. Once done should work. If not make sure the 3mm jack is plugged into the aux input into the back.

No video from ipod

Do you have the green cord that attaches to the parking break hooked up?
This stereo is designed so that you cannot watch videos while driving, therefore you need to have the parking break on in order to get video.
when you play a dvd with out the parking break on, you will only get sound.

Avh-p5700 pioneer

My first suggestion is to not purchase "used" electronics from eBay. I bought the same kind of unit from eBay... and mine is broken too. I got a cell phone, car stereo, and a remote.. they were all not working properly when I received them.

Did you try the restart button. It is a small, pin size button on the right-side of the unit near the 4-way select buttons. My player wouldn't eject a cd either, and when I pushed the restart button with a pin, the cd ejected and the unit was ok for playing cds... that's about it

Using Aux Input in a Pioneer AVH-5700DVD

I'm not sure what aux input you're using - but be advised that if you've plugged your mp4 player directly into the RCAs in the back that won't work - those are outputs, not inputs.

You need to use a Pioneer CD-RB10 (or CD-RB20 if you're running a cd changer, XM tuner, or any other IP-bus component) in order to get an auxiliary input.

If you've done that - you need to go to the initial settings menu and set aux input to 'on'. Instructions are in this link, page 89.
