Working SG-72 MOBOs failing 1 by 1, no POST after BSOD, just fans

I own 12 motherboards of this kind, I got them assembled and working, could install windows XP and used them for a while, suddenly, one by one failed, usually with XP "blue screens of dead" (BSOD) with a hardware error message, then CPU's would never restart again, there is no POST, no turn on signal to standby monitor (black screen), no beeps, no hard disk activity, just power supply and microprocessor fans working.

Initially I thought this was caused by a power supply failure, faulty memory, microprocessor, dust, on board video failure, etc. now, after testing everything I think BIOS has failed, I don't know the reason, but I guess this might have been caused by virus attacks.

If anyone knows a way to confirm and fix this, I will appreciate your comments.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem hope this helps

follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

hope this helps

also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer

hope this helps

I got trouble on the BIOS setting of my Abit SG-72 board. I reset CMOS and then I can't boot anymore(No screen). There are a long beep, two short beep. Why?

You could try removing the video card and re-seating it. It looks like a video problem.
Try reset bios by jumpers.

If this helps orsolves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for myresponse.

My pc does not display POST BIOS... when i switch it on.. no beeps sound wen i on it..

That's a really nice motherboard. I've had ASUS mobos for 5 years now.

When there are no beeps, that usually means that you've been upgrading the system and something isn't plugged in exactly right.

I take it the fans come on and stay on, you just don't get beyond that.

If you upgraded a PCI or AGP adapter, please power off the machine and reseat it firmly in the motherboard. Same with memory chips.

If you've replaced your power supply, make sure that the ATX plug is also inserted in the right socket of your motherboard.

If you've done no maintenance, then it could be dust... vacuum carefully.

If that doesn't restore your system to working condition, then you might need to follow the procedures to reset your BIOS in section 1.9 of the manual "Jumpers" Item 1 - CLRTC on page 1-21 of your manual.

The manual is also available online (english edition)

Good luck.
