If there is no fuel pressure at all than it is probably your fuel pump. If its not your fuel pump then there is a clog or krink in you feul line some where
REMOVE FUEL PUMP RELAY.REPLACE FUSE IF STILL BLOWS SHORT IN PCM TO IGNITION CIRCUIT.IF FUSE DONT BLOW I AM LOOKING AT A BAD FUEL PUMP RELAY OR FAULTY FUEL PUMP.
First you need to verify that the pump is getting power. Did you check the Inertia Switch? Power goes through that switch to the fuel pump. If the switch is good, and getting power, the fuel pump is most likely bad, the fuel tank must be lowered to replace the fuel pump.
this 2000 triumph tt600 wont start it does turn over it was runing last riding season it have new battery fresh oil im thinking the fuel iinjector need cleaning im at the right path to get it runing
Yes, you can remove the outlet pipe from the fuel pump and see if there is a flow of gas as you switch on the ignition taking care to have a container to catch the gas from the outlet pipe.
If there's no flow of fuel....means either its dead or may have some obstraction at the inlet of the pump.
Hope this helps!
Was it empty when you parked it? (i.e. did someone drain the tank, and put sugar in it? something like that?)
If not... the fuel filter could be clogged. Check that. Most cars of this age are fuel injected, so the fuel at the fuel filter will be under high pressure. Chiltons manuals usually discuss how to de-pressurize the line if needed. But you probably already dealt with this changing the fuel pump.
Good to hear it's turning over.
After (finding) the filter... check to see if any fuel is making it through the filter. Turn the ignition to "on" and it will likely start the fuel pump and spray fuel everywhere (if you disconnect the filter output.).... besides having a mess, you will know your fuel pump works. (Try attaching a hose from the fuel filter output to a bucket to prevent a mess and possible fire please ).
Can you hear the fuel pump running? Could be a blown fuse for the fuel pump.
Are you positive its the fuel pump? Have you tried running the pump with the return line off to see if it pumps fuel? They don't always have to make a noise.
