My camerais say error #e45

Error E45 is a lens stuck error and appears if there is an obstruction in the lens gears. The obstruction is usually just dust or something of the like and can be resolved by gently tapping on the camera lens with your hand. Here is a thread where I suggested the same and it seems to have worked for a lot of people

Worth a try before you send it in to Kodak for repair. Don't hit it too hard as the lens may break.

E45 error code indicates the lens of your camera is already defectived. You need to contact Kodak at 1 800 235 6325 ext 12. Your camera needs repair

The Error 45 report you have seen on your camera is related to a lens issue. Something has caused the lens to jam or stop working. When it does you get the E45 error. Update the firmware and the error should go away

As for the error code you are getting, "error 45" is a lens related problem of LS443.

If the lens is not stuck, you may try to download the firmware from the Kodak site and update the one in your camera.

As the lens is already stuck, there is no choice except to send the camera back to Kodak for servicing.

E45 means that a focus error occurred or the MCU BOARD malfunctioned. I'm afraid you will have to give it away for a repair. It's a hardware problem. You should contact your local Kodak service center.

This problem is frequently due to weak/worn out batteries or corroded battery terminals inside the camera. If charging/replacing the batteries does not clear the problem, remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth (heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning. Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then replace them in the camera. if you get this error message and it's telling you to see the user's guide - the user's guide will actually just tell you to do powercycle

with several powercycle (removing batt> putting it back in after 10 seconds> turn cam to auto) it may work again

if not, it needs repair

the user's guide doesn't have this defintion as it's an engineer code, only the repair center can determine or resolve
