Codes tv for universial ge remote and codes for Toshiba tv

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.) you wish to program.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH/SETUP button on the remote until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release.
3. Press and release the button for the device you are programming (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.). For AUX, press AUX then the device Button you are assigning to AUX. The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink then remain lit.
4. Enter the three or four digit code for your device using the number buttons in the GE Universal Remote. After your code is entered the INDICATOR LIGHT will turn off.
5. Aim the remote at the device (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.) and press the POWER button. Your device should turn off.
Note: If your device does not respond to the first code listed, If your TV, VCR, DVD, etc. does not respond after you have tried all the codes for your brand or if your brand is not listed, try searching for your codes by following the steps below. Which GE universal remote do you have? Does the remote use a 3-digit or a 4-digit code? To program most GE remotes for a TV, turn on the TV. Then press and hold the Code Search or Setup button until the indicator light comes on. Then press and release the TV button. Enter the first code available for your device. The indicator light should go off then check if the remote controls the functions of the TV. Repeat the above steps if the code doesn't work or doesn't control all the features of your TV.

The 3-digit codes are 170, 181 or 641 for Toshiba HDTVs.

Please note that the remote probably only has codes for devices that were released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV is newer than your GE universal remote, you may need a newer remote.

instructions
1) Press the "TV" mode button
2) Press and release the "SET" button (You may need to use a paperclip or small item to do this.) - The controller will light-up GREEN
3) Press the first number of the TV code - the controller will illuminate RED
4) Press the second number of the TV code - the controller will illuminate AMBER
5) Press the third number of the TV code - the controller will semi-illuminate
6) lf the first code you try does not work, try the others
