SOURCE: Fan turns on randomly and will NOT turn off until

That sounds like a problem in the remote. I would check it for loose wires, cracks in the circuit board, etc. If there's nothing obvious (and there may well not be) the problem is electronic and would be nearly impossible to find and repair for most do it yourselfers. Your best bet would be to order a new remote. Good luck.

SOURCE: My hampton bay fan turns on and off with out

I doubt it is caused by IR(Infrared) Interference, since IR remotes have specific codes for each brand of device. Still try point another remote to it just to make sure such as the TV remote. Alhough highly unlikely it is possible to get interference from another remote control.

I have an emerson ceiling fan with a light AND emerson SWQSRR controller.I can't figure out how the SWQSRR controller could control the fan and light seperately by only using 1 yellow wire?

Because it's a wall remote. Remotes will work fan & light with one hot wire. You should have a receiver in the canopy of the fan.

My hunter ceiling fan light keeps turning on randomly, it has been installed for @3 years (just recently started doing this). I have a remote control

There may be another remote control in the room/house that is causing it to turn on. A member of my family has a fan that uses a remote, when they turn on their stereo it also activated the dimmer on their ceiling fan light.

step 1 would be to ensure that it isnt other remotes that are causing this to happen.

step 2 would be to replace the batteries in the remote for the fan. once they are replaced use the remote to turn on and off the functions that are being turned on randomly.

if it is not anything to do with remotes, have the person that put it in for you disconnect it from power completely to try to reset the control board.

if that doesnt help, you may have a defective product that needs to be replaced.

if this doesnt work, report back with some more detail and I will try to help.

Emerson ceiling fan remote won't work

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check its battery contacts for any rust or dust. Check it with fresh batteries.

Need to program Hampton Bay Ceiling fan remote control CHO88T7030T, HELP!

Change the battery. This is the first step when troubleshooting a ceiling fan remote. The easiest fix to any remote control problem begins with battery replacement. A 9-volt battery is needed to operate all Hampton Bay ceiling fan remotes.

Check the light switch used for the ceiling fan. The light switch found on the wall must be in the "on" position. This allows the ceiling fan to be operated by remote control

Re-program your remote. If battery replacement fails to get your remote working again, try to reprogram the remote. Open the battery cover you will see 4 dip switches. These switches must be set to the same position as the receiver on the fan. Use the screw driver to move the dip switches either up or down.

Follow the previous step to change the frequency if the ceiling fan is randomly turning on or off. Other electronic devices such as garage door openers can interfere with the ceiling fans receiver, causing it to randomly turn on or off.
