Yes. DVD drives are intercompatable for the most part.these days. just pull out the old one, install the new one, and the OS will install the drivers and it will work just fine.
Content Scramble System (CSS) is a digital rights management (DRM) and encryption system employed on almost all commercially produced DVD-Video discs. CSS utilizes a proprietary40-bitstream cipher algorithm. The system was introduced around 1996 and was first compromised in 1999, so what now, how to?
It may be because the disks are being burnt in quick sucession, not allowing your computer to clear the buffer or temp memory of the drive in order for the new data to be burnt to disk to be buffered.
Now please bear with me. From what I can tell on their site and assuming that they use the same power cables for all their equipment (which would be the most efficient thing to do) they use a non standard 3 prong plug. You should be able to see one here

and tell for yourself (seeing as you have the equipment). Best of luck.
your device comes from PDEtechnologies so you can go here to get the manual:
http://www.pdetechnology.com/cd.htmorhttp://www.pdetechnology.com/spec.htm if there was a model on you posting it would be easier to find it but you have that information so it should not be that hard, the 2nd link takes you to the PDF's site where you can get all the manuals. if it works for you don't forget to rate me and leave a comment thx
I had one of the Coby DVD players. Mine did the same thing. Figured out that the unit was overheating. Kids were using it on the floor on the carpet. It would also freeze in the middle of movies and the only way to fix it was to unplug it. Avoid putting it inside of an entertainment center. You might want to try blowing a small fan on the unit to keep it cool
