My Facebook account has been hacked into on tuesday. They have been sending messages to my friends like it's me asking if they have seen the pictures of them that was posted. Having conversations with them like it was me. It was from 11:32 am to 4:32 pm. And this morning a friend of mine texted me they are still doing it. I would like help in finding who is doing these messages and get it stopped. Help in getting my password and username all changed. I am new at Facebook and need help. Thanks. [email protected]. Reports on the news are that many accounts were hacked, and duplicating of facebook accounts is another report.

You can contact Facebook to report the issue, and at least change your account.

I'm assuming that when you try to log in to your Facebook account you get a message saying Incorrect Email/Password Combination. I'm also assuming you have tried to recover your password using reset password feature. If not, click here to give it a try. If this won’t work there are good chances that your account has been hacked.


Follow these steps to recover your hacked Facebook account:

1. Visit http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=account_compromised

2. Contact email address: enter your email address, if possible the same email you have registered account with
3. Full name on the account: enter your full name on the account so they will be able to verify application
4. Network(s) the account belongs to: try provide as many possible networks, including school, work network,…
5. Email addresses that may be affiliated with the account: enter the same email you have created Facebook account with
6. Your contact email address: use same email as you entered for step #2
7. URL (web address link) of the profile page: simply copy/paste URL of your profile

8. Description and steps to reproduce the issue: describe how your account got hacked/stolen, try to provide as many additional information as possible
9. Submit “My Account Has Been Compromised” form

You will receive a reply shortly after Facebook staff review your application.
