I have the same error. I've called their help support line, and they did not offer a solution. One operator told me they did not have a fix for this error, and they would contact me within 24 hours to give me the resolution. They did not contact me. I called back and spoke to a second help support operator, and I was told by them there must be a problem with my system. Looks like the software is broken for some Vista OS's.

Make sure you have all the drivers Updated.
If that does not work then run a Recovery with the Old Operating System that is Installed and then try to Install, you will see it will get Installed.

Error 1935 shows up when installing quickbooks Pro accounting 2009 from disk

Quickbooks requires the Microsoft .Net framework. Error 1935 indicates that this is either not installed, or the wrong version is installed. Take a look at the box to find out which is required (1.0, 2.0, or 3.5) and do a Google search for that (Example: .Net 3.5 Download). When in doubt, install the latest (3.5).

The first step is to make sure ou have all of the latest windows updates. This problem could also possibly cause the windows updates not to install correctly as well, so let me know if you get an error when trying to install the updates. If not, make sure to reboot after the updates are installed then try to re-install the surpac software.
