Are you getting water to the ice maker? If not then you need to check that water is coming into the back of the fridge. Loosen the water line but first turn water supply off. u can use a bucket and disconnect the water line and put it into the bucket have someone turn water back on and make sure wate is coming out with force into bucket. If it is then you may have a bad water inlet valve, these go bad from time to time. If not enough water coming into the bucket then check where water line connects to the water supply. Sometimes you have to make the whole a little bigger with a drill bit so more water will flow to the fridge. Hope this helps
SOURCE: Need to replace Ice Maker in bottom freezer
Good day,
3 screws hold the ice maker in place. On some versions the 2 top screws are replaced with clips, but it is self explanatory.
The cover is a tight fit, but un clips from the bottom first. You re-install by snapping it in place with the palm of your hand.
The wire pulls straight out of the front of the ice maker and then you wiggle the rear off its mounting hole.
HOWEVER,
What you described is classic of a bad water valve. Especially the overflow issue. I would change the valve first, and if it still has issues then replace the ice maker.

SOURCE: replaced ice maker with new won't work
IF IT WILL NOT MAKE ICE YOU NEED A WATER VALVE. IF IT WILL NOT DISPENSE ICE YOU NEED A DOOR. BECAUSE THE WIRES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR BROKE. ORDER PARTRS HERE.
