Question about Bosch Evolution 500 B20CS50SNS

Ice maker not working bosch refridgerator

Water dispenses when dispenser button is pushed but no ice comes out when I put it on the ice setting, (shaved or cubed). When I put a glass against the dispenser pad I can hear the humming noise, but no ice comes out. I used to be able to hear the fridge making ice on it's own in the middle of the night but I haven't heard that noise in a few weeks.

Had the same problem. If there is ice in the bin make sure the ice bin is in all the way. there is a
drive gear in the back that has to be engaged. If the
bin is emty open the little door where you can see
if there is ice, on the left you will see the square
end of the ice maker unit. Slip your fingers under
the front face, palm of your hand facing up so you
can feel the bottom of the front of the unit. Over
to the left you will feel a button that you can not
see. Just push it in for a few seconds and the unit
should start. One other thing, make sure the limit
switch is pulled down, thats the plastic on the
wire which shuts the unit off if it is full. Good Luck.

Have had issues with the icemaker for two years, since it was delivered and I am so sick of it! Have had more than 8 service calls, replaced the ice maker and same issues. Something is wrong with the fridge or the design!

Bosch needs to make this right!!! Already wrote to them!

yes this refrigerator stinks, i had a repair person out at least 6 times, it seems the techs don't know know to put it together correctly, or a defect in design.

I also had trouble - no power at all to ice/water dispenser. Repairman tried ALL five control panels, and no luck! Said not enough voltage is going through the wires. Thinks a new door, or Bosch defect! Never buying Bosch again - trouble with new dishwasher AND ventless dryer.

Ice maker works and dispenses but water does not work, replaced water valve but no luck

Try a really good defrost. I often find on higher settings the freezer will freeze the pipe.

I would guess that you need to purge the air out of the lines and system for it to work correctly. You can hold down the water dispenser for awhile to help, but if you do nothing, it should purge itself over the next few days.

In door ice maker not working

In some cases, living in an area with extreme humidity, the ice dispenser door can stick open ( a small flap in the chute that delivers ice into the glass). This can cause a problem. The grinder in the dispenser sounds like it is frozen. Try using a HEAT GUN (hair dryer) on a low setting to defrost the dispenser DO NOT TRY TO MELT THE PLASTIC! Or a quicker solution, Unplug the refrigerator and pour water thru the dispenser CAN BE A MESS try to catch in a bucket or pan. Remove the dispenser from the door clean and dry as necessary and reinstall.

Try using cube ice to see if this helps. The occasional cup of cubes will dislodge stuck ground ice in the dispenser.

ABOVE ALL BE CAREFULL THE GRINDER CAN CUT YOUR FINGERS OFF. ELECTRIC SHOCK IS A DANGER AS WELL.

My maytag MSD2556ae side by side refrigerator water/ice dispenser may be locked. Is there a method or code to unlock. The water dispenser started shooting water out with no warning and the dispenser light...

The same thing happened to me. If you pull the refrigerator out and remove the large silver panel, you will see the water lines on the left. The line going to the ice maker was fine, but the line going to the water dispenser was split. You may have the same issue.

In door water and ice cube not working

Water dispenser is a simple touch switch in door energizing a solenoid water valve behind ventilation grate above refrigerator. Water tube runs down into and ends at ice dispenser chute. Should hear solenoid click at top of fridge when activate water touch switch. Can unhook discharge side of solenoid valve temporarily to prove water output. If water dispenser tube acts blocked it could be frozen where it ends-look up the hole at the bottom of refrigerator control buttons.
Ice maker is totally different system. No clicking when push ice button but ice in bulk tray may mean the simplest of malfunctions: Ice bin not pushed in the last half inch if ice auger not lined up with drive pegs. There are hidden switches behind ice bin that need to be engaged or nothing will happen in the ice maker: no auger noise, no clicking, no new ice making. Ice bin will be flush with sheet metal if it is in the right spot. Also plastic juice rack won't hang properly if ice bin not pushed in all the way.
