Hi There,
Try holding down the 'mouse' bar (i.e., The clicker below the track pad, or the track-pad itself if you don't have the 'bar') when you are starting up the laptop. This will usually eject disks in the optical drive.
If that doesn't work, and dragging the disk icon to the trash doesn't eject the disk, then you probably have an issue with the drive itself.
Take a look at ifixit.com for guides on removing the optical drive and opening the drive to get the disk out.
Hope this helps & good luck!

I have a dvd stuck in my Dmtech-DML-4120SD It just says disc error or no disc? How can I eject it?

Often there is a pin hole on the front of the drive. This is for a paper clip to be pushed in for manual ejection.

Toshiba REGZA won't play DVD. Shows "disc loading" then goes to wide screen mode, but then ejects the disc. Whats up?

Sounds like the laser pickup unit to the DVD player is faulty. Contact any service technician to replace it. The disc mechanism should be taken out of it to replace this part.

Technika tv

It sounds that the problem to your TV is with its DVD loading tray. A pure mechanical fault indeed. Not loads the disc properly to its seating. A motor fault, or a gear wheel fault, or a leaf switch fault could be. Anyway, you have to take the DVD mechanism out from the TV, to get the actual problem could be resolved. Really this is a semi skilled work. It will be best to contact any service technician in this case.

How to eject dvd

Someone needs to look inside to see if something got inside and is stopping the mechanism from working---I have even seen a few which someone had managed to get 2 discs in at same time.

If the mechanism is damaged it may not be worth repair as the DVD portion (if even available) costs too much.

The DVD player is in constant eject mode - discs will not stay in to play. It has worked perfectly for years. Tonight I was watching a disc, finished, ejected it and put in another and the player just...

Two possible scenarios: First the optical pick up assembly that read the disc has malfunctioned or the eject button is faulty. Either way it is just cheaper to replace the DVD player with a standalone dvd player connected to one the tv input(s). Too expensive to repair just the dvd player if it is tv/dvd combo. The cost for labor and parts is more expensive these days to repair tvs or dvd player. For around $30 you can just replace...much more cost effective.

Dvd recorder doesn't eject disc

Yes, I'm having the exact same problem -- I can't eject the dvd that's in the player right now either manually or remotely. It plays fine.
