GMC Denali road bike starts wailing

My GMC Denali road bike has developed a wailing sound when I cycle. I've identified the problem as the rear wheel bearings based on descriptions read here. How much will it cost to replace them, and can faulty bearings damage the axle or other parts?

Bearings in themselves arent that expensive [at all] and you could probably spend $5 for a set of new ones, but if the bike has been wailing for a while, you might want to make sure the friction between the bad bearings and the inside walls of the hub and Cone, hasnt ruined the whole build. because if they have then buying an new hub [$20 - 50 depending on the quality] would be a better option. And if you know how to untie everything you could just run your fingers through to check for any uneveness or bumps, otherwise asking a bike repair guy to help could be a just as good option

Dont know how to remove and install front wheel on gmc denali road bike 700c

If the wheel has nuts (not bolts) on each side you just need to loosen each one enough to remove the wheel.

Where to find gmc denali 700c owner's manual

Check eBay. Their listing between $10 - $50, but I didn't see anything for a 700C. Still, one may pop up.

How to remove front forks

Repainting via rattle-can is a bad idea - looks poor and will not hold up. As for forks, just google "overhaul threadless headset."

Can anyone tell me the size of a bottom bracket for a GMC Denali 22.5" road bike from Walmart. 68mm x ? bottom bracket

I have the same bike, I believe the correct Bottom Bracket size is 68mm x 122.5, if you use a Shimano BB-UN300 which is also compatible with the BB-UN55/54 sizes. There are many Chinese knock offs for a few dollars less, but not worth the risk of premature failure.

On a side note, if you measure the length of the stock spindle it’s about 124mm which Shimano does not make.

Denali GMC 700C Women's road bike wrong tires!!!

Can you explain why you think the tires are too big? Do they NOT fit the rims? What condition was this bike in when you bought it? If the brake pads line up with the rims then the wheels are correctly sized for the frame.
