Wear gloves when changing the bulbs. Your body oils will cause the bulbs to burn extremely hot and burn out. Check your tail lights. Some vehicle's interior light goes out of stays on when your tail lights malfunction.
The lights that come on in the day time, in drive are called daytime running lights. They're actually the high beam bulbs on at low intensity (about half of normal voltage). The nighttime headlamps are a separate filament. Have you checked that the bulbs aren't blown? A lot of times one bulb will burn out and the driver won't notice, then when the other bulb burns out the driver thinks they both stopes working at the same time and suspect a larger problem.
Take out the screws holding the instrument panel in, pull it gently away from the dash being careful not to unplug or pull out any wires. there should be a plastic retainer that you and pull off to get at the bulbs.replace the blown bulbs and reinstall the panel..
These are bulbs in replaceable sockets. Look to either side of radiator for an electrical socket usually has a quarter turn and then remove (pull out). These are halogen sealed beans and you cant touch the glass bulb with skin because it will burn out. use a paper towel or clean rubber gloves when handling these bulbs. What you are removing is the just a lens.
most likely you have played your with either spk bad or bad wiring i have the same exact amp played it hard for more than two year and still have it sitting right now just bench test it last week still drive hard i think you make bad connection some for that to burn like that
Unclear description of your problem... First, you say 'dimmer up at the half-way point and lights stop getting brighter'?.. Then you seem to be concerned about burned out bulbs. First of all, you describe two different problems... ya think? If you have burned out bulbs, then you can find them and replace them. If you have a lighting problem regarding 'brightness', you need to be more clear as to the problem. If the problem is bulbs, and these burned out bulbs are causing the 'dim' illumination of the dash lights, I'd say you solved the problem. If this is NOT what you meant, then it must be a problem in the rheostat which is not bringing the lights that do work up to the maximum intensity -- would you agree?
What your describing sounds like incorrect bulb positioning. If the socket is not located correctly then water can enter the light housing and blow the bulb, sometimes in pieces. This is the only condition that a bulb blows to pieces, when a hot bulb meets water. If needed remove the entire lamp assembly to make sure it is properly located in the socket. Good luck.
it is entirely psssible for half of the bulb filiment to burn out have you checked to make sure you have 12Volts on the wire to the left bulb the # is 1157 bulb change the bulb and try it if you find this information helpful give me a good rating thankd you , Randy www.aceautomotive1.com
