I have a wyse winterm v30 thin client. what steps will it take in order to reload the firmware?

Reset Neoware 608 CE password.

Neoware was acquired by HP in 2007 and they seem to have destroyed all Neoware references. That product was end of service in January 09. Need to change password but i dont know the old one

i advise you to get on eby and type in Windows Password in the search and get you a copy of any of the windows password reset discs there cheap and it will solve your problem

How can i reset S30 wyse box

Try a G-key reset.

Failing that use WSI and an S30 image from the wyse Website.

WDM also has the option to to re-image the client.

You may also be able to get into the control panel of the terminal, and download an FTP image and set the terminal to upgrade from the image when uploaded to your ftp site. From the control panel, you can initate the upgrade manually

Neoware thin client password recovery Windows CE

OK first off I don't know anything about this device, But I can tell you most OS level passwords I have dealt with are stored in the OS by way of a battery on the main board. If you open the unit and remove the battery and wait about 15 minutes, then reinstall the battery and close everything back up. Then turn it on and see what you get.
Has worked for me in the past On laptops.
You may have to try and leave the battery out overnight and then try it.
