Yaimo is now appearing as start up on firefox even though options homepage shows start up with firefox

Sounds like a url hijacker is there a tool bar of the same name? if so do one of two things

1.remove said bar

2.change bar settings to not change homepage

Try rebooting your computer it might do the trick, if this fails, make sure your internet connection is working properly.

If the above doesn't work make sure that –
File > Work Offline Is not checked!

Ok...from the above comments..if it problem still persists...would suggest uninstall IE 7 and install the default IE 6 along with the WIN XP..hope the machine also has good specifications....should work fine...From above comments.....antivirus, applications tend to slow down the machine...try to upgrade if possible..RAM etc..paging////

If found Ok..then agin try and upgrade with IE7

I think this is more of a browser setting you need than an email problem.

On Chrome :

How do I make Google my homepage?

On Internet Explorer to set home page as google.com, do the following steps:
