I would say no. You don't want to try and modify tanks because of what they contain! If the fixing are the same, no problem, you can use a Y Connector to fix the drain holes issue. It is needs mountings attaching, then the answer is no.
Hello if you had the fuel tank off make sure you did not hook up the vacuum line to the fuel outlet and fuel line to the center fuel petcock vacuum connection
think the disc them selfs are bigger on the 1200 than the 600...also they have diffrant brake calipers as well on each bike...so i dont think 1200 disc & calipers will fit the 600
I don't understand why you would want to do this, but I suggest you see if a sprocket cover from a 600 bandit would fit in place of the existing one. The sprocket cover is the bit behind the alternator housing on the left hand side of the engine. Since the 600 is cable clutch, i think it works on the worm gear principle, that may solve the problem.
The pumps have different part numbers > The 600 is #16400-06B01 and the 1200 is 16400-06B20
Chances are, even if the pump "fits", the 600 will not have the volume of oil flow needed for the 1200 motor. Starve the 1200 of oil and plan on a new engine in the near future. Sorry.
sorry mate but they arnt interchangable due to the fact the 1200 has a hidrollic clutch...other sprocket covers can be fitted from a number of other suzuki 600 bikes, eg:GSX F...GSX R...(600,750)
hope this helps
Remove, shorten, replace. Do not just remove. Or, there is a pre-shortened (invisable) aftermarket splash guard available.
It's a quite simple operation but do not attempt any modifications or repair w/o a shop manual. I've had very good luck obtaing shop manuals by typing in the search box of www.yahoo.com:
