You don't need to reset the password. we reset the password when someone hacked our account or in case user don't remember account password.But in your case there is some technical issue. After you change your password and Yahoo tells you its successfully. close yahoo and then reopen it.

Hello. You change th Language/Region of your Yahoo! mail by:

-Login into your yahoo! mail account

-Assuming you are using Yahoo! beta. On the upper left portion, click the "Hallo, [your name]" then click "account"

-You will be prompted to type your password again and then click "Anmelden"
