Just bought a home with pool and Dolphin Commander(think simlar to Diagnostic) came with it. Previous owner had for maybe 4 or 5 years and worked fine. Now I put it in the pool for first time and it will turn on, but it only goes about 2 feet forward then 2 feet back then that is it. The vacuum fan doesn't turn on at all and I checked for debris but it seems perfectly clean. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just ran into the same problem and what I did was take off the top yellow straner that exposes the fan. Then when it stops turn fan by hand(that kick starts the fan) and then it will continue to do the cycle
The impeller motor is likely worn out. New motor units are expensive but less so than a whole new unit. You can send it to us in Michigan at www.arrowmotor.net or find a closer service center using www.maytronicsus.com Good luck.
