How can i dial a phone number a screen to do so

To enter or edit a speed dial number on the Uniden D1788, go to PHONE BOOK (the book icon), when SELECT appears use the up/down arrows to select the previously entered phone book name, press MENU/SELECT (EDIT appears), press MENU/SELECT (EDIT NAME appears), press MENU/SELECT (EDIT NUMBER appears), press MENU/SELECT (SPEED DIAL - XXXXX) appears. Now, to assign a speed dail number, use the up/down arrows to select the desired speed dial number (Expl: SPD2) and then press MENU/SELECT to save it. The selections are SPD0 to SPD9 and also NO SELECTION to remove an existing speed dial number. You can also assign a speed dial number that's already used to a different phone book name. It will remove it from the old name and reassign it to the new name. Use the above procedure to assign a speed dial number to a new phone book entry when SPEED DIAL appears.

Which ones? System speed is programmed from station 10 or 11 and goes in the 6xx's, depending on your version of software. The start is FEATURE 00 FEAT 6xx and dial the number You can continue programming more numbers by pressing FEAT 6xx or Feat 00 to exit.

Personal speed dial numbers are programmed similarly, except they are in locations 80-99 on each phone and can be programmed from the phone if it's a system phone.

Auto Dial buttons use blank buttons on your set. Feature 00 pressing the button and dialing the outside number store those. Again, Feature another button will let you program another button, or Feature 00 ends programming.

Press the STORE button, "Location?" appears in the dispaly screen, dial one of the digits 0 through 9 on the dialpad or press one of the 3 memory buttons:A, B, or C. Press the STORE button, enter the phone number using the dialpad, press the STORE button.
There are two ways to use the stored numbers. With the phone idle, press the DIAL button, press the memory button(A, B, or C) or one of the dialpad numbers 0 through 9, then lift the handset or press the speaker button and the stored number will be dialed. The other way is to first lift the handset or press the speaker button, press the DIAL button then choose the memory location by pressing one of the A, B, or C memory buttons or dial one of the digits 0 through 9 on the dial pad and the stored number will be dialed . Once you've dialed your phone number and are connected... press "CLR" until the numbers are erased from the screen... Then you'll notice that the "mute" appears on the lower left of the screen. Just press the Upper Left Key "-" and your muted !

Go to applications,choose Phone and the main screen of the phone will appear,then try to dial a number

go to the shop from where u brought this phone & get the ringer changed
