Hello Delete any saved game files from your x box hard drive.Unplug x box for 5 min. Plug back in and power up. Try game again. Chances are files have become corrupt. Also delete any files from GOW 1 and 2.
Go to memory from System Settings. Check the data from GoW 2 and check if any data is corrupted. If there is any, just delete it and you should be good to go.
Hi, God Of War basically a bit heavy game regarding data and capacity, so that if the optical of your playstation would be weak then it will not play until you would change it or get cleaning, normally when we talk about GOW II it needs healthy lens, although your console play all the games except GOW II very smoothly. Contact any expert to get cleaning of your PS2 lens and enjoy the game. Thanks
Your ps2 needs to be fixed, gow 1 and 2 are dual layered discs and alot of ps2 originals and slims have trouble playing it, trying calling sony and they can usually fix it for about $45, the laser in your ps2 is worn.
Hope this helps :)
2.) Exit out of the auto run window by clicking on “Exit.”
3.) Search the CD with the Window XP search tool for the “FirewallInstallHelper.dll” file. You should only get one result after a short while. Leave that window open.
4.) Now navigate to your System 32 folder in the Widows folder but do not open the contents of the System 32 folder.
5.) With your Search results still open click and drag the FirewallInstallHelper.dll file into the System 32 folder.
6.) Close all windows you have open.
7.) Run the GOW CD again and click on “Install.”
8.) You will get another prompt asking you if you want to uninstall all components. Click yes.
9.) You will get another prompt asking if you want to delete all other user content. Click yes.
10.) Game should install now and you should be free and clear.
This happened with my old 360 and GoW. Microsoft insisted it was the disc, but it wasn't. I ended up purposely giving it the 3 Red Rings so I could send the 360 of for repair. It worked fine when I received the console back from repair.
