SOURCE: western snow plow will only angle to the right .
IVE NEVER WORKED ON A SNOWPLOW BUT NOONE ELSE IS OFFERING ANY HELP. IT SOUNDS LIKE FLUID IS LEAKING BY THE VALVE AND PRESSURIZING THE LEFT SIDE ALL THE TIME. IT ALSO COULD BE YOUR NO-SPILL COUPLERS CLOGGED OR NOT OPENING FULLY PREVENTING FLOW OF FLUID ON THE LEFT SIDE. GOOD LUCK. JODY
SOURCE: western snow plow when you try to angle to right
This is a control valve problem. From you comment, it is
clear that the control valve flows to one direction only.
Please check the control valve of the snow plow that
execute the angle to right or angle to left. Also check
the pipelines before and after the valve. It must have a
free flow of the fluid.
SOURCE: I changed the hoses on my western sonw plow today
off the (joy-stick) in the cab, can you hear the hydraulic motor run when it's set to move to the left???,if so when you changed hoses, did you have all plow angles and heights "centered" when you did this? you may still have a lack of hydralic fluid to that position, does it try to move that way (jittery)?if so, again check for an air pocket in this line and re-bleed the system, overtime it will work itself out of the lines, but you may have it trapped in this hose run
Check to see if both hydraulic cylinders are working properly. If one has a leaky piston seal, it won't carry its share of the load.
SOURCE: I can hear my fisher plow motor but the plow will not lift or angle
Check/replace under hood motor relay. Spend the extra $2 and get the fisher part. Do not even bother with NAPA junk.
