PUK number displays on when the PIN code for the SIM card has been entered three times incorrectly. You should be able to call through to your network operator and give them your number and they should have your PUK for you.

Perhaps the phone is asking for a PUK code. You need to call the Customer Support number (free) at your service provider. They will give you a 10 digits code. You will input that code to the phone, then the phone will ask you to input a new PIN code. After this, you will need to reconfirm that code and everything should be OK.
It's useful to note that PUK code just in case your dad will make the same mistake.

A request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times incorrectly.

Your SIM card will then become "PUKed" or Blocked. This is a security measure to protect your service.

You need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM card.

well, my old phone was the Samsung Soul U900, and axidentally put a Puk lock on that, and my dad rung up Orange, and asked for the Puk Code, and they gave us it and you just type into your phone the number you were given and it should unlock, obviously, you wouldn't ring orange unless orange is your network, so just ring the network that you have.

PUK code cannot be given by any manual or person . Its specific for each and every mobile number. Only the service provider can provide you with that PUK code.
So please contact your service provider(MTN) customer care. He will ask your details give him that for security check and you are all set to go he will provide you with PUK code .

For the PUK code you don't need your dad's help...all you need is the no.of your network provider.PUK code is a sim related and not phone related.Just call the customer care of the sim card's company and they will give you the code n won't charge anything for that.

You can actually call your service provider from some other phone, then tell your number to them and they will provide you with the PUK code. Normally thats what vodafone does.
