I purchased a 1GB SD memory card for my Samsung Digimax A6 in Cordoba, Spain. I use a memory card reader to download to my IMac. The card was read but the photos were not downloaded. Why? I have not had this problem with other memory cards.Thnx

Hi,
Seems memory card is either unstable or defective.
Format memory card through camera menu format option and if that does not correct problem then memory card is junk.
Thanks.

Downloading picuters directly from your digital camera SD or XD card.

You can purchase a Targus card reader from Walmart which will plug into a USB connector on your computer. Directions on it's usage are included with the card reader. The package says it is compatible with SDHC SD/MMC, XD, Memory Stick, Pro Duo, and Magic Gate.I ran into a problem with the Targus TGR-CRD25 when trying to read an XD or SD memory card 1GB or bigger. Targus fixed it with a note on their web site: To operate plug card reader into
the USB port, go into "My Computer", click "Removeable disk drive", insert your memory card into the card slot and upload your data. Please remove your memory card before disconnecting the card reader.

I need to use a smart card and have lost the original one which one do i buy and how do i use it

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
You can use any SD Memory card for A6. You can find many on the web as well as in your near hardware store. Sites selling cards for A6 are this and this.
When you will purchase a card then how to put it in and start using it, its all written in the manual. If you have it just go through it if you want to download a copy you can download it from here.
I hope you will have a clearer picture now.
If you have any more questions, queries or need clarifications, feel free to ask.

I have a Samsung S730 digital camera and like it very much. I have a 1GB SD memory card and it works great, but I want to purchase another memory card, but the only SELL 2GB SD cards is that ok to use in...

Hi

The Samsung S730 digital camera will work with 2Gb Secure Digital (SD) cards without an issue. If you want to go with a higher capacity card you can also use 4Gb and 8Gb SDHC cards.

Hope this helps

My computer is not recognizing my PNY SD 1GB memory card. I can still take pictures and my camera saves them to the memory card, but when I try to transfer the pictures to my computer, it does not...

In this instance, you might want to consider either borrowing, or, purchasing and card sd reader. Some computers just don't read these cards from their built-in slots, so, using an sd card reader often fixes the problem.

Hope this helps. :)

I have purchased a 8gb memory card for my samsung digital camera but it is not working, it keeps saying card error. Any ideas?

if that happens try to reformat your sd card
all you need is a card reader and plug it in your pc find format and choose fat32*note only fat,fat16,fat32 format can be read by your camera so be careful when doing so.

I purchased a 8gig sd card and tried to put it in

The camera only supports SD memory (limit 2GB), not SDHC (4GB and more). The manual claims up to 1GB guaranteed, though the camera recognizes my 2GB card card.

Have lost all my photos from my samsung digimax v800 camera card

I have had success with this... Download the photo recovery program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.
