Briel es-35. Has not been used for some time. Water container is full. When coffee button is pressed, I can see water going up the tubes in the water tray but no coffee is made. The machine is one for about 30 seconds then shuts off. I've tried the instructions to prime the pump but got no water from the steamer.

SOURCE: Trouble with my Briel ES-37FS espresso machine

I'm looking for a part for my Briel ES37S - Espresso Machine. I found what appears to be a New Jersey company that sells parts for US customers. I haven't called or e-mailed them yet, so I can't say that I've verified their parts selection, but I thought it would be good to share their contact information anyway.

Here is the contact info, as copied from their website:

"If you want to place a parts order, you can e-mail at [email protected], fax us at (201) 439-1701 or call 800 223-1898. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover."

I plan to e-mail them and ask if they have the milk-frother knob, which I also need for my machine. IF I find that they don't have this part, or that it isn't worth contacting this company, then I'll post another message here and let you know.

Your mileage may vary...

SOURCE: I have a Briel ED 132A Classic how do I prime the pump for the st

Sometimes the self- priming pump feature may not work due to a momentary "air lock" condition. If water does not flow from brew head, place a cup under the steam frother. Open steam control and turn the switcher onto the icon of the half-full cup until water flows from steam frother. Turn off steam control, as Espresso maker is now ready.

SOURCE: Briel ES 200 AP machine no water for coffee but yes for steam

This post is REALLY old, so you probably already fixed or discarded your machine. But for others with similar problem....

You may have a blocked top filter screen. If the machine is not cleaned regularly this screen can become so dirty and clogged that the water cannot get through.

Easy way to tell is run a shot without the portafilter basket in place. Water should flow out of the top screen. If you see it spurting out in small streams it needs to be cleaned.

On the ES200AP MPS machines you simply need to remove the screw in the middle of the screen, clean well, then replace.

Hi, my tchibo coffee machine display is showing bean container empty when the container is full of coffee beans.I have removed the container and made sure it is there is nothing obstructing the tube.i have...

Hello

Push "Off" on the coffee maker's control panel. Unplug the coffee maker, and allow the machine to cool down completely. Remove the coffee bean container by lifting up on it and sliding it out. Wipe it out daily with a damp cloth, and slide it back into the coffee maker. Press down on the handle to click the container into place.

Dump out the water in the water container,Wipe out the water container with a damp cloth. Refill the water container with clear drinking water.

Remove the dump box and drip tray, and empty them.Wipe each one down with a damp cloth. Open the service door and push "Press." Remove the brew group by its handle, and rinse if off in a sink with hot water. Use the key provided to unscrew the plastic pin holding the metal filters together. Rinse each one separately. Put the filter back together and dry the separate parts with a towel.

Mix a package of descaler with the water in the water container every four to six months to rid the coffee machine of mineral deposits. Plug in the coffee machine, and select "On." Select the "Hot Water" button, and position the steam valve over the drip tray. Dispense two thirds of the descaler and water into a container in 15 minute intervals by turning the steam valve counterclockwise to dispense and clockwise to shut off the flow.

Let the coffee machine heat up fully, and then dispense the remaining descaler and water by turning the steam valve counterclockwise to empty the water container. Press "Off" to turn the machine off.

If this does not work then you might require a technician.

What is the dilution of vinegar to descale my machine

Hello bpplums,
When cleaning your units system you need to use a 2 parts water to 1 part vinegar solution. Run two fresh vinegar solutions through if its been a while sense the last cleaning. Then run through a couple pots of fresh water to rinse. You should be good to go. Hope this helps!
Positive feedback is appreciated. Kind regards, NormanZ

Water forced out around seal when making espresso.

1- Try cleaning the seal with a group brush if you do not have one you can get a hard toothbrush this will clean the coffee grounds on the seal, if the problem still occurs then the seal needs to be replaced.

Briel espresso machine

Try opening the frothing valve by turning the dial and force water through it instead of steam by pressing the middle, coffee button. You may be experiencing vapor lock. Once the water comes through the steamer valve, turn the steamer knob off and release the coffee button. Then try the steamer button with the steamer dial open. This may do the trick.

Water won't flow through the tubes

You might need to prime the pump manually since the machine has been moved.
directions:
Fill water tank.
Turn power on.
Open the steam knob all the way.
Press the coffee button.
Put a cup under the steam pump wand.
Wait until you see a steady flow of water and no air.
When you see the flow of water, close the steam knob.
Turn off the coffee button.
Now the machine should be ready to brew an espresso.
If that does not work you can contact the service center for more suggestions:
