Replace dial cord on GE Portable AC/DC Radio Model # P4960A

I need a diagram that shows how to replace the dial cord on a GE portable AC/DC Radio, Model Number P4960A. I have tried Google search, Ask, and also sent request to General Electric Customer Service-No Luck. Radio was a gift and has Very Deep Sentimental Value..Thank you for your Help. [email protected]

    Thank you for taking your time to post this solution. I think the pictures will help me replace the dial cord. I thought my radio was ready for the trash bin but now, I have great hopes I can once again have my radio which means more than words can say. Thank you. Regards.
