SOURCE: Natural gas to LP converters

Your Tappan dealer can help you with this. You have a good named unit so it shouldn't be a problem. You could also check with your gas company as to where to get the conversion parts.

Gas stove need to switch to propane

Hi,

Hotpoint supplies the orifices and instructions with each range for converting. It is just that it is hidden, they attach it to the gas regulator. The regulator is near the bottom back typically. Here is a cut out from your use and care manual.

CONVERTING TO LP GAS (or converting
back to natural gas from LP)
This range leaves the factory set for use with natural
gas. If you want to convert to LP gas, the conversion
must be performed by a qualified LP gas installer.
The conversion instructions and LP orifices can be found
attached to the range next to the pressure regulator.
Keep these instructions and the orifices in case you want
to convert back to natural gas.

Converting broiler in oven from natural gas to lp gas on hotpoint gas range

On the oven portion you will need to turn the oriface clockwise all the way till it bottoms out. This is the conversion from natural gas to lp gas on all gas ovens. Also make sure the valve down toward the back has been flipped off of nat. to lp. Good luck

I converted my 40'' Figidaire range to LP a few years back when I did not have access to natural gas. Now I need to convert it back. I do not still have the old parts and there seems to be no ''Natural gas...

I am having almost the same problem. Frigidaire told me to replace all 5 mixing tubes, ~$385, yeah right. They don't have the orifices itemized as an individual part, so no-one carries them, just the LP conversion kit. Another repair/parts guy advised me to drill out the orifices. Some other threads/blogs give the diameter to drill. Basically, since natural gas is 0.5 psi, you need a larger hole than your current propane orifices provide. Please speak up if you find out anything, I will try to do the same. Good luck.

Gas range burner flame too high and too yellow.

Did it work OK in that location before the changes?
Sounds like you used Natural gas parts instead of LP.
Lp orifices have smaller holes than Nat.

Converting a GE Profile Gas Range from LP to natural gas

GE ships gas ranges set for natural gas, with the LP orifices included, usually on a metal tab held with one screw right near the regulator (where the gas connects to the range). If the range was converted to LP, the person who did the conversion was suppose to put the natural gas orifices back in that holder. If they are missing, comment back on the exact model number and I can look up the part number(s) for you.
