Want to add songs from itunes - Apple IPOD 8GB MODEL NO. A1236

First of all when you sync your ipod with another computer all of your songs, videos and etc will erase by itunes application.Example the first sync was on your desktop using itunes and it was successfully transferred the songs and videos. But you want to add songs from your laptop, so copy the songs to your usb flash drive or external hard drive then paste it to your desktop computer. Then plug your ipod to your desktop computer and run the itunes application then add songs you want to transfer,by syncing or copying the song to your ipod your old songs will not be erase. Step 1: Open iTunes and have your iPod connected to your PC.
Step 2: Press Ctrl and 'A' at the same time for Windows, or Command and 'A' in Mac and all your songs will be highlighted.
Step 3: Right click and choose "Get Album Artwork"
Step 4: After the progress bar is done. Go to the left side of your screen and select your iPod.
Step 5: Right click and choose sync. After it is done, it will get all the album art on there.

To fix this, you have to make sure that the song is really in your hard drive. For example, when you have a song in your My Music folder and you want to put it in your iTunes library, all you have to do is to drag this particular song into iTunes. Then you will see the song in iTunes and then you can play it. You can load as many songs as you like even add a whole folder to iTunes library. You can drag the whole folder or from iTunes, select Add Folder to Library.

When you want to transfer songs and movies to your iPod or iPhone, just drag the song to the icon of your iPod or iPhone and then it will automatically download it on your mp3 player.

Click on file>add file to library, locate the file you want to add, and press enter to complete the process. There is also the 'add folder to library' function which allows you to transfer a whole folder of songs into the Itunes library. This is quite handy to have if most of your songs are stored in one place on your hard drive.

Alright, let's get back on track here. You know the proper steps in which to keep your Itunes library updated now, and the last step is a breeze. Plug in your Ipod to the USB port in your computer, and you'll notice the new option to add songs from your Itunes library to the Ipod. Click and drag your files into the Ipod transfer screen and then you're done! You're now ready to explore the wonderful world of music without the burden of a large cumbersome computer to haul alongside you!

I assume you have a Windows laptop. Make sure that the remaining 100 songs are not in .wma format, or else you will need to convert them to .mp3 first.
To add these remaining songs to your iTunes library and eventually to your iPhone, you must first locate where these songs are from Windows Explorer (e.g. My Documents) meaning you must open the folder/folders where these songs are located. If you've been using Windows Media Player to play these songs before, open WinMP and right-click on the specific song then select "Open file location". That will take you directly to the folder where that specific song is. When you find the song (as a file in a folder), right-click on it and select "Open with" then select "iTunes". That will automatically add the song you selected to iTunes library.
You can also do that with multiple songs by:
holding CTRL (from your keyboard) and clicking on each specific song you want to add to iTunes library; or
selecting the first song, then holding SHIFT (from your keyboard) and clicking the last song from that folder
.. then, right-click on one of the songs, select "Open with" then select "iTunes".
Once your done adding all your songs to iTunes library, you can then sync your iPhone.
Again, the remaining songs must NOT be .WMA format.

You just need to import your song into iTunes library, then make a playlist with the songs, plug in your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod.

Plug the ipod into itunes, add music to you itunes playlist, then click the "sync" button on the Ipod device tab.

Basically where your ipod is click sync after you add the music you want to your itunes playlist.

The reason for the exclamation mark is because the song cannot be found.
Delete your itunes library then add the songs again.
you must have m,oved the location on your pc and itunes has lost track of them
