SOURCE: 3D optical mouse is not working

Hi,
Go to the start button and click on control panel. The, click on hardware or sound options and click on "mouse". When you get to the options window click on hardware. Find the mouse that you are trying to get to work. Then click on propoerties. In the next window it should state that the device is working properly. If it shows that and still doesn't work reboot the computer. At that point It should work.

Hope this helps!!

Mikomi mouse

An optical mouse works based on imaging principle so we have the freedom of accessing even in a 3D way. If your Optical mouse is not moving the cursor side wise, I would suggest you to look for the exact Mouse driver and install it. Usually on a Windows XP machine they work as plug and play.

If the Driver is working fine, you must look for the Windows or OS compatibility. The WDDM compatibility can also cause this to happen.

Else you have to replace the mouse.

Good Luck.

Does the tech air mouse need a battery? how do i get it up and running after plugging it into the usb port?

Hi,
You only need batteries for wireless optical mice.
Just plug the mouse into a USB port and let the operating system detect and install the drivers for it.
It will let you know that the device is ready to use in the system tray (bottom right hand side of the screen).
