How do i set the language on cybershot dscW730

I am trying to set up the camera for the first time and the set up wont accept english as language and wont move on further

You can change its option with SEUS program and than you can made this camera to your own region. This software SEUS is work with HASP key and only authorised service can made this

good luck,been there myself!!
keep "poking"around",eventually you will select"initialize",this will revert your camera to factory settings,and most likely "english"!

Press the MENU button to display the menu. Use down to select the toolbox, then press O (that's the center button on the multiselector). Use the cursor keys to select the wrench and hammer, then press O. Select the second item on that menu--that should be "Language". One of the choices should say "English" in English. Select that one and press O.

Press MENU to exit the menu.

I bought a camera in Japan (Sony Cybershot DSC-WX1) and now it seems that i can't change the language from japanese to english. If i select (can't read it but with the help of the english digital guide i think i have the right menu)change language, there seems to be only one language available. -japanese- How do I solve this?

SOURCE: Can the sony cybershot dsc-w270 have the language

The region has to be changed to US or UK. It is done with a special Sony adjustment software.

Hi I need to change the language back to English on my camera, please can you help?
Press "Home" in the top left corner to get to the home screen.

Then choose "Settings" (it's the icon that looks like a toolbox)

Then choose the language setting (It should be in that position even if it says it in Chinese, and the "A" icon should also be the same).

Hopefully when you get to the language screen, English should be in english... it usually is!

Press the MENU button to bring up the main menu. Use cursor-down to select Settings (toolbox icon) and press * in the center of the cursor pad. Use cursor-up/down to select Main Settings (wrench and hammer icon), press cursor-right, and then *. Select the second item on this menu.

LANGUAGE SETTING JAPANESE TO ENGLISH
Hello analyn
There may be a simple fix to this problem.
Find a friend that has a cybershot of the same model as your own. In their camera, open the menu and navigate to the language setting. While you do this count how many times you press the button. Example:
Menu
-camera settings 1
-program 2
-personal settings 3 press ok

personal settings
-storage type 1
-date and time 2
-language 3 press ok

language
-spanish 1
-english 2 press ok
-japanese




Although the language is different, the number of spaces should be the same, so even though you can't read it to change the language, you should be able to count it out. Or if you are lucky you may have a Japanese friend who can read it.

Need to get back to english
Researched this extensively. you cannot change the camera to english. sony camera's bought in japan (or from the internet from japanese suppliers are not multi language. they supply a japanese version and an international version. the japanese version is cheaper (nationalistic thing). there is no firmware either to upgrade it. best thing to do is download the manual and become familiar with it.
