Turn the machine on its side or back or front so that the bulk of the fluid will be at the bottom when you add it. Fit the hose to this part, extend the hose other open end upward as high as possible. The pour the fluid into the hose end, when hose is full put your thumb over it and swing that end onto its hose connection and fit it without losing liquid.

How do you add transmission fluid to a 2000 town country

The tranny fluid is added through the tranny dipstick (make sure it's not the oil dipstick). Fluid color should be red and the dipstick should have instructions on how to check level (car in park, engine at idle). Funnels are your friend here.

Wanting to know where to add the transmission fluid to a 2003 Chevy Cavalier Automatic

it is complicated. the red cap on the top is where you add fluid - but - there is a way to fill it without overfilling. it must be running, the plug underneath must be removed, and once it runs out of the hole as you add the fluid on top, it is full. Replace the plug, and it is done.
The plug is on the case - 2 inches above the bottom pan edge, just in the front of where the axle goes in on the passenger side

How do you add fluid?? Don't see a fill plug

If automatic transmission use the dip stick tube to fill, but watch that you don't over fill.

I have a 42 inch craftmas mower and the fluid is leaking from the hydrastatic area, can I replace it with transmission fluid.

If you transaxle is leaking badly adding oil may not help long term,if you remove the back hitch plate there is a allen wrench plug or a rubber vent hose, you can add oil there, measure down from the top of transaxle and fill to within 1.5 inch of the top, always allow 1.5 in of air space in top to allow for expansion. Add amsoil or mobil 1 synthetic motor oil 15w-50 or 20w-50. Do not use transmission fluid or hydraulic oil.

Transmission fluid

If your vehicle has the 5.2 liter, aka 318 cubic inch engine, there is only one transmission model applicable and it is the 42 RE which used to be designated the A500.It is a 4speed overdrive transmission. If installing a rebuilt trans and new remanufactured dry torque convertor. You add 4 quarts initially, then fire the engine and add another 5-6 quarts for a total capacity of 9-10 quarts.Fluid level is checked with the trans in Neutral. If you are only dropping the pan,you will replace roughly 4 quarts. The transfer case fills separately, but uses the same automatic transmission fluid.Capacity for the transfer case is about 2 quarts/fill to the bottom of the fill plug hole.Good luck.
