Use some Goop to glue them in the holes, that's what I did to mine.
Goop is not real hard to yank out should you break one and have to replace them.

It would be a good idea since the points inside the switch are welded together and produce heat.

I need a caster foot for the shop vac qps20

Best thing you can do is pull the other three off and throw em away or else glue them on the wheels being detachable means they get lost every time

Swivel wheels won't stay straight and the vac just skids.

Do you find that the wheels are jammed and won't rotate, thus causing the vac to go to theleft or right or just have to be dragged along forward?Try wd40 to see if it will allow the wheels to rotate freely.

Hight adjuestment won't work

Lock the vac in the upright position and then tilt the unit back off the front wheels, it should move easier. If the height adjust does not work, there may be a broken part, I would recommend service by a vac shop.

The paper filter on the Shop Vac locking ring won't stay on, how do I fix this?

It has to be pushed all the way on to where the plastic is solid. It's usually quite hard.

Can't install a bag for my Craftsman 16 gallon shop-vac

Well, good news, you don't need a bag! The trash just settles to the bottom of the bucket and you just dump it out.

I own one of these -- it has many little operational anoyances -- like wheels falling off, lid popping off, etc. If you run into these scenarios and want help on fixes, drop me a line.

Would you please rate my response. I think you'll see some icons at the bottom of the post to enter a rating.

thanks...

A Wheel or disk has come off of the motor. I would like to get a copy of the user manual to see if I can determine where it came off of. This Genie Shop Vac was given to us from my father-in-law.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. You can always check with the manufacturer Shop Vac to get an owner’s manual for the older Genie Shop Vac would be @ the Shop Vac Website and or Customer Service of which I will give you @ the bottom of the response. Other wise check with your local vac dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
