I had 20 songs on there but i couldnt move from the 3rd song! I couldnt go back or forward to the next song before i tried this method! I hope this helps!!
You need to isolate the problem first. Try the following:
1. Connect the MP3 into different USB ports of the computer. 2. Connect the MP3 into another computer. 3. Try using another USB cable to see if the cable is working corrently.
If the problem is isolated with the MP3, then you need to reformat and upgrade the programs in it. But I would suggest to contact the manufacturer because they know what is the best program that would work properly with your device.
initailly there was a dev. sys config file or something of that nature on the GPX website like a year ago that would allow you to replace and/or access your music and/or the GPX mp3 player, however 2-3 years later they have fixed bugs and put out many other mp3 players so your luck of finding this file is dwindling. try it w/ and w/out batteries and try to go to win explorer as oppsed to "my computer"
Plug the mpg into your computer then go to "my Computer" click on right button, go all the way to reformat on list and left click then just reformat it. You will do 2 things clear off all your old music and also clear off all the extra cash that has been stored in the mp3. Yes it is a small computer and does store cash just like all of our "large" computers.
Try this out my player did the same thing plug your player into your computer using your USB cord and for like 10min let it charge there is a small battery inside the player after 10min hold down the M button for 5sec let off then take out battery plug back into computer it should say usb and now your set
