MY GPX MP3 PLAYER MW3837 WONT SWITCH BACK!!...
The original poster has probably long
since tossed the thing, but since I just had to spend time wrangling
with one of these, I thought I'd post a reply anyway, for the sake of
anybody else who may have to deal with one.
It turns out that this player will happily switch modes to whatever the
current driver is looking for. So with the player attached, just go to
Device Manager, to "GPX audio player" , to the "Driver" tab, and the
"Update driver" button. Choose "Specific Location" on this screen, and
"Manually Choose" on the next. There should be two drivers listed here,
"MTP Device" and "USB mass storage device", choose the "USB mass storage device". If it
complains, tell it yes, I want to install it anyway.
Once it finishes, the players screen should flash off for a moment, and
it will reboot itself in USB mode. And then windows will detect two usb
drives.
This was in XP Pro SP2.
Movies and Pictures to my GPX mp3 ML638B
The GPX ML638B takes only AMV files for video. you have to use the utilities tool that comes with it to convert video files. or find one online if you prefer. also you can download pre exsisting AMV format movies to load into it.just be sure its in a USB mode and load directly onto the 1st area when you open its designated drive location. as for Mp3's no conversion is needed. simply load em onto the device. remember. video and pictures requre it to be set in USB mode (mode button on its side) and music out of USB mode.while plugged into the PC on its screen will show USb on lower left of screen when its in usb mode. and wont show if its out of it.
Trying to put realplayer videos on a gpx
You cannot do it directly. You have to convert the RealPlayer videos to AVI format first. Better to use the media converter program that came on the player's installation CD.

How do you delete songs
Hi marksmick...
Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

I have a gpx mp3
I just recently purchased the GPX MW140R. I can load .mp3 songs to it and remove them but my problem is that when I'm selecting songs, there are times that it will come to one and get stuck and the only way for me to get out of that stuck mode is to turn it off by removing the battery. Why is it that it gets stuck on certain songs and not others when they are all .mp3 format?
Any help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.
