Some tablets reboot by holding the start button for about 10 seconds and releasing. Wait another 10 and try turning on as normal. Maybe yours is one of them.

Of all the Insignia tablets, there is only one that will use a SIM card. It is specifically called out in the model number as an LTE capable unit.

The model numbers are the NS-15T7LTE and the NS-15T8LTE.

No other INSIGNIA tablet will have a SIM card slot available.

in settings, try to put the "sleep" timer to 2 minutes, and see if it actually locks (or sleeps:turn off the screen)... also with mine sometimes the "capture screeen" feature works (more donts than do's!) perhaps very poor quality from the buttons.
clean all the apps running, and start with a full fresh boot (turn off by holding the power button 10 secs or more, then conecting to the charging usb, press again the power button), the volume also can be set via software, again in settings.

Make sure you are using the charger that came with the unit.

Wiggle the cable in the USB port on the tablet to make sure you have a connection and that it isn't a faulty USB cable or that the USB port is failing.

Try using a different charger that will deliver 5 Volts at 2 Amps...no less.

If none of these solutions work, return the unit to the GeekSquad Bench and have them look at it.

Is it pluged into a USB socket, or a wall outlet? Most tablets draw too much power for usb sockets so they will not charge, only connect for data.

Make sure the battery is fully charged and left plugged in while you try to turn on the tablet.

Hold down the power button (it takes a long press) until you see the INSIGNIA logo on the screen.

If it takes longer than 10 seconds and the unit hasn't turned on, the unit is not functioning properly.

If you have the protection plan, I would recomend you return it to Best Buy for a new one.
